we look for 20pips on M15... pick a candle with momentum to break that resistance.

Mindful we have FOMC later when NY Open so there will be volatility.

Hi Aneczka, you are right spreads play an important part in trading the 5M charts. You need to trade the TF that you are most comfortable with I am not encouraging anyone to jump straight into 5M trading. I have said many times 5M trading is very difficult and it takes a lot out of you. 12 hour trading days with a couple of 30 minute breaks thrown in there isn't for everybody and it even wears me out. I am slowly incorporating 30M chart trading setups into my trading arsenal.

Here are a few GU trades, first trade was a loss, followed by two wins. Big news day today so be extra cautious.

Simple break of the green zone ( support) and retest on the 5M chart. Higher time frame supported the down move.

First GU trade at +8 pips moved SL to BE and got taken out at -0.1 pip . Second trade really tested my patience.

Here are my trades for today. First chart, first trade BOUNCE form RN. Second trade anticipated BOUNCE from RN plus 200EMA.

The second chart AUD/JPY was taken before (FO) Frankfurt Open, I had to wait what seemed like forever for it to move. I stayed in this trade as yellow TDI was up and red and green lines stayed above the yellow but I much rather prefer to get in and out quickly.
