SOW Principle 10**** 2BR
Top reversal is a common SOW the 1st bar is marked up rapidly, closing on the highs (usually on good news). The volume can be high (1) (supply swamping demand) or low volume (2) (no demand). The next bar rapidly reverses down, on a wide spread, closing on the lows. If the low & the close is lower than the 1st bar this adds to the weakness. As with all these indications, it is important to read the following bars for confirmation of continued weakness.

Well TEB if you read my post you'd know that I discussed the volume on bar 2 as it compares to bar 1, not the volume of bar 1 itself. Second they never mention in whatever book you've pulled that from about the second bar making a HH or LL than bar 1. It's just a candlestick pattern that I trade which is formed when all of the points I stated are met. As noted it's different than what is described above. Not saying I invented it but I've never seen it specifically named so I call it a pres78 2BR. If everyone else wants to call it a SOW 10 or 30...

- In VSA talk what this Bar is and what is going on
It is simple an "Effort to Rise failure Bar" - again a simple sign that there is no Demand - it is a strong SOW
what is going on is DM is not in panic yet but the SM have made up there mind.
Often you will see a Test of Demand or a No Demand Bar before a big drop.
Of coarse it would be a simple 2 bar Reversal, if the 2nd bar would be on high volume
so a Pres78 2Bar reversal in VSA talk is in fact "Effort to Rise Failure Bar"
Personally I would not want to have a failure (bar) named after me or take credit for a failure
But looks like you are ok with failure LOL
The threat Title is VSA - maybe check out VSA LOL before naming bars
- of coarse you can do as you like
- Maybe you might like to name other bars after yourself
- I have heard of quite strong bar you can look into
(a) its a WRB
(b) up into fresh ground
(c) on high Volume
(d) with a down close
maybe you could call it Pres78 on the down low bar

I gave the rules for the pattern that I trade, gave it a name because I didn't have one for it in my trading plan and I reference it as that now and have been for years on this thread.
Failure pattern yep sure is (you keep showing top reversals, I trade these as bottom reversals too), so I guess I am a failure since I have been drawn into wasting so much time on this pointless conversation.
I have read all I need on the subject of VSA and trade it how I want to trade it and how I have been trading it here at this very tread. I don't need software or manuals labeling bars as SOW 10 etc... or the Trade Guider 3 bar set-ups. I'd say you must be on the TG payroll with how sensitive you are over me naming a 2 bar pattern after myself.
Anyway you can carry on mocking me if you wish, I'm all ears. Let me have it big guy the stage is all yours, I won't say another word.

Teb63 and Pres78. You are both 2 very good traders that I really appreciate your input on VSA and trading. I really don't see the point of fighting each other over the fact that Pres78 named a bar pattern after himself. I don't see the issue at all. To be honest, TEB, with all respect, I think you are a little bit too harsh toward Pres78 in your last 2 posts.
Please just share positive trading analysis on this great VSA thread. In trading as in real life, there is no place for EGO battles as there is too many of them already.

one quick short on EU:
h1:
m5:
A - no High volume rejection of 50% fib + up bar with pin
B - upbar approaching S/R zone on reducing volume - no effort to break
C - upthrust into S/R zone, next bar closing below UT on the low - my entry
targetting fib 61,8% + 1,1300 round number with potetntialy orders waitting there that the market wants to fill

Another great VSA trade today on EURAUD. Being very disciplined and patient to wait for the right setup can be really rewarding.
This is a nice short with the background telling you a great story of present weakness before you decide to enter short on the break of the no demand candle at point 4.
Chart is self-explanatory. Also a classic short opportunity. Buying climax, followed by 2 upthrusts, divergence between price and volume and no demand confirming entry. As EURAUD is a pair that trend well most of the time, you often get a 2nd entry chance to either add a position or enter if you missed first entry.
Also note that the buying climax bar or squat is the highest volume since last 24 hours. For a ultra high volume up bar with a narrow range not going anywhere and stalling at or around the previous high since last day shows clearly that weakness is present on this candle and next down candle just confirm it.

so ladies, presenting the VCV13 Grand Hidden Zone Analysis (hope the name is not taken already). of course as the very name suggests, anything that is hidden is not easy to spot, but once you do.....you start munching pips. (excuse my bad english).
so ladies, the long entry was aggressive for obvious reasons, & once I learned supply coming in at the high of the hidden zone the very next bar provided a good opportunity to exit.
The short was of course a walk in the park.
