we can be kind to you. we can spoon feed you. in the end you live a day. if you have done your due work, i would be kind to give you what you ask for. but i dont see that so i fear that my kindness will destroy your ability to learn, cultivate mind and self. i have been thru there so i am sharing with you my experience. i am still learning everyday, be it trading or non trading, self is the greatest enemy. just imagine how you easily gotten angry at things, then what can you do in your mind not to get angry for that once, then for twice and consistently?

for you, let me share my trading session today with you.

day chart: mkt in retrace mode after two wave down from sharp spike possbility turning into congestion mode if retrace have no follow thru to upside. looking for a base to spring off following the lethargy shown by the prev day. volatility toning down, may not make as much money if mm is mild. look to strengthen mm but with a non riding essence.

hourly chart: mkt starting to congest after retrace run. congestion formation and unable to rally. desc triangle neckline formed is bearish.

5min dance: 2 small scout deployed in area A before retail fig release cushion by prior day P&L of 90 pips for each scout. chasing mode activated due to rally failed and px dropped although usd retail not fantastic.

Area C - no follow thru, bull impulse bar appeared from bottom, potential intermaidate bottom, in defense mode due to 20% of capital deployed. Capital set up to have 40% attack and 60% defense at 10x leverage. position avg excluding cushion is at front line.

Area B - lost opportunity to deploy more troops in battle. position is fine, px unable rally.

Area D - profit taking for cushion so as to release prior day p&l cushion buffer.

was not a fantastic dance. could do better with more focus and less distractions and a calm mind.

abt the moving avg, i dont consciously use them. i dont see them when i am dancing, i see the lines when i want to.

Another problem, points are positive but foreign capital negative (for the year). This could mean I am losing on bigger lots and winning on smaller lots.

haha, ikr, the good old days where each control group were 12 units.

to tell u the truth, starcraft 2 sort of made me realized how i should be trading, you are always reacting to how the opponent throws moves at you and you scout them then when the probabilities are in your favour, you go for the jugular, the situation is always changing, and you have to flow with the battle, sticking to the basic principles and playing a good solid way with proper foundation is the genuine way to improve. i started at the bottom and climbed my way up 1 by 1, and that taught me the value of perseverence to get good at a skill.

hi, just abit of an advice to you, what jacque meant was that you did a hedged position, you long a pair, then open a short on that pair, and have 2 open positions, but in truth you are squared. im not sure how your broker treats your positions, but if it is treated as 2 open positions, you are bleeding from the 2 position's carry or rollover tom, if u carry the position for 1 year, on max 50x leverage, your account would significantly have ended up with lesser money. if you sum up the rollover tom for each pair per day, you will notice the value for long and for short add up to negative, which is charging you money for carrying 2 positions for a certain amount of time.

hi CookieMonsta,

broker treats both as 2 open positions, so i suffer +ve and -ve swap on both the orders. Usually the nett swap is negative. i carried overnight position for a period of 15 days at one point in time. never allow it be more than one or two days now. thank you all for the concern and invaluable help and insights.

This is what happen to my trading....

1. Sell 1 lot, then went upward to -1600.
2. End of day. It started a correction a little bit so I sell 1 lot and go to sleep

I apply 3 golden rule of preservation of the capital and rescue sequence
And MM by not too aggresive as my pocket is limited.

3. In the morning, I caught both to be positive, making +1600 and +160. So remembering my target is to avoid loss in rescue so I closed both for profit. Then in an hour, it rebounded and could have made my +160 to negative.

Here I applied old man in a flood. I took the first help I can get. Or a turtle and scorpion principle as I don't let greed take over and change my rescue target into attack target in the middle of the trade.

D trend. Another way of looking at it is you look for direction in D and timing in M5.
