That is most definitely martingale. Simple definition of martingale is doubling your bet after losing, it doesn't matter how you lose.

34 EMA high low => If open below and close above=long If open above and close below=short ONLY if TMASlopeTrue is in agreement (pic)

If (Close[1]>Open[1]&&Close[1]>UpperEMA&&TMA>0) return (buy);

Laymans terms, if close is greater than open (bullish candle) and the close is greater than the upper EMA and the TMA is above zero, take a buy.

Converse for shorts.

Give me some time to play with this, should be able to have this ready for a fresh week for ya.

Stops - profit/loss - EZ

The rest, could be as easy as tapping the exit button on any personal ideas of change.

I've actually worked with a very similar idea, 12/14 Moving Averages as applied to low and high of candles. Mix the TFs and let it fly. Works much like measuring speed as the price crosses the trigger line.

If your strategy guarantees win in every 5 trades, you have the perfect stop for a semi-martingale. On the 5th loss, you know something is wrong so you can close out, take a vacation and come back a few weeks later and re-test the strategy until it works again.

All right, are you other guys agree with me and MathTrader7 that if i have a strategy that wins at least 1 trade in 5 trades, and i use it like my post #12 don't you think we are success to create "No Loss Martingale Strategy" ?
and once again take a look at my attached program, and imagine we make action smart with 1/5 success rate(and even for Caution our system can continue trading with a couple of more Losses in rare conditions),

don't you think it's not impossible to have such an unbreakable trading system?

Oh, I forgot to mention, you should be able to get good income from that 1 in at least 5 winner. Would have to test make sure the unexpected like the Swiss unpegging last year does not blow out account. I would love to help back test if you care to PM me. Thanks.

Why not keep your lot size at 0.01 until you've had 4 losses and then put everything you've got on the fifth trade. The problem here is that the next trade doesn't know if you've had 4 losses or 4 wins. Just because you've not yet had 5 losses in a row doesn't mean it won't happen.

If by "win at least 1 trade in 5" you mean you're averaging 1 in 5 then you, over 15 trades you could hit the situation where you've got WWWLLLLLLLLLLLL in which case if your first trade is 0.01 lot then your last trade will be about 38.4 lots.

You've got to have a pretty big account to cope with a trade of 38.4 lots...in which case you're tying up masses of cash to trade 0.01 lots?

I think the old saying "The Market Can Remain Irrational Longer Than You Can Remain Solvent" is pertinent here.

A sound trading plan has to factor in the crashes like that or Lehman Bros, or invasions, or 9/11, Asian financial crisis, etc if you are a full time trader with no other source of income. Many traders are wiped out because stops are not triggered because of the gap. That is what backtesting can uncover.

may be you're right, but first i want to make a system for normal conditions, and then we think about other things. step by step!

i have plenty of my own versions of martingale, need a real good broker this strategy to work. plenty of bad brokers around, they use plenty of ways to fail you with requote, offquote, server disconnection. no matter how disciplined you are, or how good is your entry, if the broker is not honest, they will eat you up.
