Please post your recommended settings for live account trading. My trades didnt trigger for the NFP. used STWAN 20secs, SECBPO 10,POINTS AWAY 10, SECBAO 0, SECBMO 0, POINTS GAP 0, MODIFY GAP 0
Why are all news trading EA manual set for news times?
I want to have an EA that can automatically determine news times to trade (eg. by downloading or referring to FF Economic Calendar). Perhaps the user can have the discretion to choose level of news impact (eg. High Impact, Medium Impact, Low Impact, or all news events).

Perhaps also this EA could be set to run at ALL times so that regardless if there is a news event or not, if the market makes a quick move in a particular direction this EA should be able to open trades to take advantage of price action.
I would also like to try it at any time as well as news time as a BO trader. E.G. it would place the orders 1 or 2 hours after the opening session in Lnd or Ny etc.
I presume it is only a matter of setting the correct times on the inputs along with gap distances etc for the selected instrument?

Which broker do you use @Pupsik ? Most brokers widen spreads and make huge slippages i cant use it properly.

and i always experience a lot of slippage and a huge loss

Thanks for the break down and definition. I am guessing you could use a combination of both of these techniques (spike and straddle). I have found spike trading during the Asian session to be profitable, being able to grab 10 pips on news stories that you wont be able to straddle trade. Smaller news stories where the slippage and spreads aren't as much of a factor. Ex NZD ANZ business confidence or the AUD/NZD retail sales. You can't have other news being release at the same time though and generally I will only trade in the sentiment of that currency, not that it should matter as much with spike trading. Doesn't seem to have the same profitability with the larger news releases and during the London NY cross as slippage and spreads start having a greater impact. Thinking I may try swapping to your strategy for large news and during these times.

Anyhow, this is my first post on your thread. I have been using v4.3.0 for some time, with not to bad results!​
I only just returned to FF to have another go at the Amazing EA, and found this thread! Great to see you are still going, thanks!

I have 2 brokers I use and thought I'd compare notes, so I setup GBP CPI for 6:30pm (our time), and have exactly the same settings on both versions v4.3.0 and v6.10 on a $2000 live accounts (with exception of DeleteOnShutdown=false). What has totally stumped me is that using MM=true, and set RiskPersent to 0.5 on v4.3.0 = 0.10 lots.

Ok so 0.5% of $2000 = $10 true or 0.10 lots, but v6.10 @ RiskPercent = 0.5 = 0.07 or $7 in $2000?

I can't think for the life of me why they would be different! I believe v6.10 should be the same 0.10 lots.
I have checked through the mq4 files to compare, but can't seem to find any difference...

Maybe I am not seeing something? When you have time, could clarify for me? I would great appreciate it.

Would you kindly explain why you would set the Ntime 15 sec before the news time? I usually set it at 30:00. What is the advantage? Thank you toppo

G'day Toppo,

Well it is just my personal preference to give pending orders enough time to be placed on the chart during erratic market movement at news time .
This was yesterdays GBP CPI news, still playing around with settings, but was stopped out with 3pip profit. Not much I know, but it is 3pips more than I had!
Profit is profit, no matter how big or small!

Yes, profit is profit.
I knew of AmazingEA for a long time, but have seriously began using it with real money since just a few weeks ago.
I use a trailing EA called Wheelbarrel Trailing_v1.2, which gives a charming cork_pop.wav sound as it trails by a step of 1 pt. I am used to this EA/setup so long I disabled AmazingEA's relevant setting and use WBT.
How does your trailing setting work?

I am a little like you Toppo, I have been trading the Amazing EA 4.3.0 for some time on a demo account.
I only recently started trading the EA on a live account and thought I have a check to see if anyone still uses it, and found that Alan had a new thread, new version!
So I am comparing them, hence my previous question to Alan....

As for my trailing stops, I have just increased my TrailPoints=50, to give it a 5pip trail, rather than a 3pip! Also I like to have my BEOffset=30, so this is a bit like a jumping stop, only I have it set to jump to BE+3pips, hence the 3pip profit last night!

I find with these sort of EAs, one needs to play around for a length of time on a demo account to really get to know exactly how the EA works to fine tune it,
but I have noticed it tends to behave slightly better on a live account. I guess it is because they use different servers for the demo and live accounts.
I also find it is much better to use only a very small RiskPercentage say between 0.3 - 0.5. This keeps my emotions relaxed, and keeps it more like a business, rather than gambling....
