I know I'm gonna sound like a smart *ss but the truth is what you need. The two most important things are gonna be, in order...

1. your entry...on the pullback or the breakout

2. your exit...target price or stop loss

Let's say you get your trading technique down pat and your emotions are well in check, it still boils down to your entry then your exit. If you focus on the ideal set up (for your entry using either the breakout or pullback) and take profit (for your exit) and stop loss (for your emergency exit/preservation of capital) on the specific time frame you prefer...you will have success.

Master that one scenario.

Yeah you are right. But I would say that profit is the outcome of timely entry and exit and our goal is to make proper analysis to determine the time for them. In this light, most important thing is finding a suitable way of market analysis - fundamental or technical and narrow it futher to find something one or mixed you will make use for your trading. talking about mm I tell you that it took me 2 hours to prepare exhaustive report on my first year trading plan and I still use it as template even for third year of trading..

Well, the most genious is the most simple and obvious. In my own opinion, the rule number 1 should look lie this: Never invest more money that you can't afford to lose. From the first glance, this is pretty much obvious. But for some reason, lots of people failed their trading because they failed to obey this smple rule! The second, also in my personal opinion: You don't lose unless you give up. Sounds a bit philosophycally, but as I suppose these things are fundamental for beginners. Indeed there are much more things in forex and they all are crucial and should not be neglected.

Trend is important but you have to know a lot of other things as well in order to achieve success. Among them is money management which is extremely important.

Dear readers the most important hing in forex is the broker and every one is looking for low spreads and low commissions but what you guys should be looking at is how much is the broker trust worthy because if he gave you the lowest commission and you cant withdraw your money then he did not help you out at all so i advice you guys to choose your broker wisely

  2. Resist the "I want to earn $xx,xxx,xxx" urges. Instead, focus on becoming a better trader. The money will follow.

Well "the most important things in forex" it is: to grow your account!!!
Not the MM, not the discipline, not the psychology.

Price can go up or down.
Even if you do nothing about Forex, but you klick the mouse and you get into right direction and make 100k usd it is a lot better then have perfect MM, trade knowledge, tools and make 1k or even loose 1 usd.

the most important thing in Forex is not to trade with money you can't afford to lose, because chances are you're gonna lose it.
