this is a beauty in line with what this thread is all about ...trading away from the ma and tdi cross...I did not catch it as I was busy doing other thing...hope some of you did

I caught some of it My first entry was before LO and as you can see it failed. My child didn't let me sleep, otherwise I wouldn't even see charts at that time. The second entry was the successful one

pips29 as you are using TS2 you might like this indicator. (Maybe you already saw it).

It shows the distance in pips from a chosen level. I find it quite useful for quick determination of the SL when opening a trade.

I was just looking through what you posted and it is exactly what you said..I normally look for the swing H/L for stops/exits..in any case if I am around I will do scaling..great if it works for you , just carry on using

I typically have the SL smaller than TP, but not being confident about the trades I used to close them with small profit while the losers were hitting the SL. One day I realized that about 98% of my trades were closed in profit, but my balance was still negative for that day. I'm still not able to keep the SL below 10 pips, so I have to have my TP bigger. The problem is that a lot of time I cannot monitor my trades closely, which I think is required when having a small SL.

It looks like you took a short when pa was above the 10 but below the 200..the tdi was pointing upwards from an o/sold position..Look at the amount of candles with lower wicks before your entry..it's telling you there is upward pressure

You are right. It seems that I was so focused on the price bouncing off the 200EMA that I completely missed that. Being more selective when opening the trades is another thing that I need to work on. I still feel like I'm going to miss something if I don't open a trade...

I have gone big on this pair and now scaling off using the 5 min..The greenish/yellow line is the support I drawn on the 1 hour, it's just a minor support and if broken and I am stopped out it's ok..I am just trying to squeeze as much as I can so that I can afford to lose 2 or more trades if it happens

price did break the support line I drawn and it's lingering there...notice when price breaks a S/R it comes back and sort of consolidate near/around S/R before deciding where to move

what made you decide to exit completely there? I would look at 1 hour or 4 hour chart to find S/R ...perhaps you can do scaling...I have drawn minor support lines where you can scale out...just my 2 cents

I've read that when you posted the link earlier. It's very interesting and so true. That's why the win to lose ratio of a "system" doesn't really tell us anything about it's profitability.
I've been reading this thread for quite some time, but I didn't want to write till I read enough pages not to jump with a question that was answered 100 times previously. I'm still catching up on the 2012 discussion, but also reading the current posts at the same time.

I have just put on the fibo and what a coincidence my lines are at 50 and 61.8....my drawing skill must have improved
