Yes, you're right, it looks crap. The only glimmer of hope right now for CL is that RB futures have not reversed yesterday's strong gains - right now they are only down 0.1%. But I don't have enough experience with RB to know whether that's something or nothing.
Certainly if you wanted to kill CL/USO longs a good way to do it would be with a killer bear exhaustion bar - nearly 5% down at one point I think.

Trying a small long on UGA - the only gasoline ETF - based on RB's strong performance yesterday, and its outperformance today; I think all things considered printing the daily candle today is no mean feat:

/ES... sma200 "defended" again... be prepared for SHTF scenario once the (teddy) bears breach that. And all the stops got trigger, right...
Well, not today, BUT volume is improving slightly, about 1.71M contracts by the close. /NQ managed a nice pullback WITH APPL finishing -5.2%...
I can enter those spreads on /ES again for $7.25 CR, hm... Would like to see a follow-trough of today PA.
Hope is dangerous in this game.

maybe they been workin out? idk, if the USD can show some backbone and push down fiber, WTI stay down <$44 with eyes for <$43, we should see some momo southbound. I am hanging in on Sept5 SPY short call verts, I want 50c min to get out dammit

Wow, SUNE down to $13.50 today, FSLR to $51.44. I need FSLR to <$49 by next week to make some money. I figured CNY move and oil too would weigh down on the solar stocks. Those will come back, though, will track oil & any kind of rally will float them all up together. Of course, when will oil rally? is the money question - could be months....coming off the high season....could be lots more downside for oil & solar stocks both.....

Will a weaker yuan bring in the hordes of 8th grade-educated Jesse Livermores, or will capital flight begin tonight? I'd have to guess the latter & say we see SHCOMP 5% or more in the red. But wtf do I know.....?

As always though, this may present opportunities ... . Good that that TLT didn't fill; will have a gander at it tomorrow, since the second Yuan deval in all likelihood means a pop in TLT, maybe a little bit of one in EURUSD (which is up five days in a row; has cleared 1.10 by 60 pips; Greek stuff may add a little bit of additional upside).
