Since QQQ is the most volatile of the indices at the moment, going with a Sep 30 (Quarterly), delta neutral 99/102/117/120 IC for .57 cr.

Farther out than I usually like to go, but I've already got a set-up on for Sep 18 expiry and the Sept 25 weekly isn't available yet ... .

more long vol, VXX Oct $17/$18 bull calls....risks 20c to net near 80c, I'd be happy with a triple @ Sept expiry

What a day... I was a bit emotional yesterday (some private things...), but a very hard slide today, especially for /NQ.

I'm in a Friday VXX $16/$16.5 bull call vert, in the ToS account, which I can't often see during rth, so I set a 25c gtc on it, was in for 7c.....my luck if I held til Fri would be an index bounce on a weak NFP, so....take the money & run...bet that has filled or near....

GMCR is down 30% !!!.... I made some $ on it once on a short strangle I think... man, that earnings trades can really kill you.

DIS is down today again... AAPL down... leading stocks are down.

So called "death cross" is looming for DJIA (daily sma50 trough sma200). I don't trade DJIA, but there was really beautiful re-test od daily sma200, and in the same spot sma20 (median line on Bolinger bands) crosed down trough sma200... simply beautiful, a modern art...

tickled me to see that SPY $207.9x print for a minute .... if we get the big NFP hammer tomorrow SPY could close the week @ <$206 ....

Out of all my UVXY short put verts, two DIA short call verts, and one IWM short call vert ... .

F'n UNG short strangle did not fill (again); thought better of the QQQ IC when I noticed this a.m. that the Sep 25 expiry opened up; and decided to be more patient in setting up any long-term FXE trade (it's not the first time I changed my mind between market close and open) ... .

Probs not going to test my luck entering anything new this Fri ... . Although I'm more than 50% in cash, still got a bunch of stuff on in QQQ, SPY, and IWM (in addition to some short GLD and a TLT IC) ... . Not to mention a couple of SVXY short call verts ... .

Best to keep some powder dry, let the market digest NFPs, and then go from there ... .

Too bad I can't have a day like this every day ... . These are "quit the day job" gains ... . That being said, gotta keep things in perspective; this is just one day ... . The next could be a total cluster ... .

May regret passing on an index set-ups here: QQQ IVR (6 Mo Dough) is at 80+, IWM, 64, DIA, 63, and SPY, 54.

Will look at futures in the a.m. to see how things went overnight and decide ... .

Still not liking my fees/commissions metrics; it seems like I'm being raped ... . Dunno if it's gonna help if I go larger with the number of contracts per setup ... . Need to read TDA's fine print ... . It looks like you pay a flat fee per trade (regardless of size) of $9.99 + a $.75 commission per contract unless you're doing a buyback for a nickel or less, in which case there's no commission, so it helps to a certain extent to wait where you're fairly certain something is going to expire worthless and let it expire that way or buy it back for .05 or less; you'll otherwise pay $10.00+ for the privilege ... (I know it's only ten bucks, but when you put on and take off 30 trades a month, that adds up to a chunk of money ... ). Increasing the number of contracts per trade will help, too ... . I've been dicking around with the number of contracts here trying to determine what I should shoot for with each trade in terms of max profit and BPE ... .

DIA's have been my friend (lately) ... . I'm sure we'll reach a point where we part ways, but it may be some time ... .
