The Fed is not approaching their rate-rise regimen with very much aggression. EURUSD is likely to hang around these levels for a while. If that is the case, oil prices will remain stable.
Then there is the matter of the expected "lift-off" of the USD into orbit, which the Fed has been very careful not to promote, relative to the levels of the Canadian Dollar. It seems we were expecting much more aggression than we got and Loonie got way overbought.
A retracement back into the trading channel of January through March of this year would be a more likely scenario and as long as the Euro and Cable remain relatively stable, expect to be able to shave pips in that channel for months to come.

Dislike the term "USD liftoff"&accompanying shuttle pic subliminal messaging in MHO.
3 mths Canadian Fed election I expect range until then.

Just read a CDN bank report on Tues' COT release.
No surprise. 1Billion increase in C$ sells.
CDN$ bears have been increasing their short positions since late May.
