Can I get a clarification in order to follow this method correctly. So, if I was prepared to go long on a pair, MUST I have the green sto (21) above 50% on every time frame for this to be the perfect set up?

forgive me. the answer is yes to properly ride the waves. too much reading and too much flipping around between different time frames.

i still trade the system, but have not got time for internet communities... i manage few accounts so it is not like normal job from 7 to 7.. anyway. @Heispark i have the same broker as you have and i know also XM so i can tell from my experience with many brokers that the ecn better reflects the real price than market maker.. i use only Alien's indis but i have seen on the few other indis that the diferences between MM broker and Ecn are huge. have a question to Alien , what broker do you use (i mean only the model not company)? could you advice us in this case? thank you in advance. have a nice trading day!

All indicators are broker dependent because of different timeframes. The main idea I think is to get the underlying structure of the market so that you know that you are on the right side, and what to do when you are no longer there.

You got it. When all TFs are in alignment you have the perfect setup.
I wanted to stress though the importance to do the multiTFs analysis before taking a trade on a low TF.

Hello Alien and all,

Just joined the thread. Looks very interesting as I love trend following systems.
There's a lot to digest here. Will look forward to seeing how the systems are currently being implemented.

Do you draw your own trend lines or do you have an indi for that? I use trend lines also and the only decent indi i have found for it shifts too much for me.

It little controversial I know but I don't tend to use the stochs in this system as much as other indis. Even if I do, its usually only the two fastest lines.
My entry criteria is:

  1. The most important point = 1H to 1D (with an eye on 1W) TF all agree the 3 points below
  2. RSIoma above/below 80/20 - DS cross is a bonus
  3. ADX (fastest 3) expansion. Slower 2 must be positive.
  4. No support/resistance areas near price.
  5. I dont trade CHF pairs as the delatching earlier in the year messed up the trends on higher TFs
  6. I don't trade EUR pairs as the greek stuff is fairly exceptional and beyond my understanding
  7. Cable trades are treated with suspicion.

Exit

  1. Price reaches significant (4H+) support/resistance
  2. RSIoma swings the wrong side of 50 on 4H.

The result is I don't have as many trades as others here and I stay in trades a tad longer than is probably best.
But
My success rate is close to 100% with 100pip SL - on average I have one new trade per week and keep them going for anything up to about 2 weeks. Some weeks I don't trade at all. My account is up 30% since trading like this. I have had the biggest successes with AUD, NZD, JPY crossed with USD.

The reason I altered the pure alien system:

  1. I found the stochs confusing no matter how many times I read the thread.
  2. I just couldn't understand the x-cross stuff.
  3. I only get about 5 mins infront of MT4 per day so can't 'sit and wait' for the setup to develop. I use a different platform for trading and MT4 demo for analysis.
  4. Before discovering alien I overtraded, used too tight a SL, traded countertrend and ultimately lost.
  5. I didn't really see much success looking for BBS and trading a breakout.

Its not very exciting but I hope that helps someone.

On GU H1 the rsioma has not crossed yet for a sell, not enough info yet.

Using MTF's I see a possibility of the daily going long on the wave 3, or the money wave.
The H4 DS is long and the RSIoma is near a long
At the same time the H1 has a DS long forming and we will wait and see the final action of this.

I am looking for the H1 to Cross X long and the H4 next and then the Daily to X Cross trade long.................
