Could someone please help to understand the below chart. This is H4 chart, as we see could see ADX is decreasing and stochastic 21 is trying to climp up. What will happen in this situation.

It looks like it wants to go down w8 for longer stochs to go down and adx to expand and then enter short. h1 is mixed in my opinion so w8.

Thanks for your time and update. Could you please tell me which you are referring as longer stochastic. Is it stochastic 21 in H4 chart. Sorry i am new to this system.

Yes longer stochs are for me 21 and 100.

No adx power, the 8,3,3 is starting a rubber band trade for a sell at this time. The RSIoma and DS are in a down position and have not crossed up.

Are both charts the same pair? Must be.....

The H1 is topping , it can continue long, No ADX power, DS is trying to cross lower, it looks like the M15 will go long soon because the 8,3,3 will rubber band long on the H1 and a possible X cross trade may happen.................

This is a sell at this time. Do some more reading and all the answers are there for you..................

8 is the fastest , 21 medium, 100 slowest...........

Hey guys i want to start a discussion, I was struggling with the system for some time. For about a month i get consistent results week after week, but still i have some trouble with staying profitable. I have a win rate like 70-80% but I let my profits melt away, Alien's advice to get out of the trade when 21 stoch turns down helped me a lot but im still tweaking it. I trade mostly H4+ setups and sometimes this method is too slow to get out of the trade (or sometimes Im not disciplined enough to get out on the first sign of reversing - Im working on it). How do You guys decide to get out of the profit or loss trade with the alien system?
For now my rules:
take profit - H4 21 sto turns down - sometimes i will let it run and will get out after 21 sto is going down the 80 lvl
break even - after about 50-100 pips
stop loss - about 300-400 pips from the price - my backup for some unexpected events like chf situation
manual stop loss - when h4 21 sto turns down for 2 periods (8h for h4 trade)

In last month i have observed that most of my trades are profitable for 200-300 pips and then go down to the BE and others to stop loss. Maybe I should set some strict rules for tp like 200 pips for h4 trades?

OK, so thought I'd share some of my observations.

Just purely looking at 1 time frame [in my case, the M5], I've become particularly interested in price's relationship with the Bollinger Bands, while observing the stochs.

I've been having considerable success trading like this.

Basically, we all know that Bollinger Bands "contain" price 95% of the time.

So, what if we have price at a lower BB, but yet the longer term stochastic [100,10,10] is above 80. Surely, this is a great odds enhancer for a move upwards from that point?

Similarly, if price has pushed upwards, then returns to the mean [20SMA], but the 100,10,10 is still above 80, then again, we have a higher probability of a move upwards.

Used in conjunction with the slowest Stoch [8,3,3], we can get some great entries.

And remember, the 100,10,10 is based on the next higher timeframe, so we are actually using multiple timeframe analysis with this method.

Anyway, here are is a pic from today to show what I'm on about. I'm only interested in trading from Frankfurt open to London close.

And don't be greedy!! Remember this is an M5 chart. I aim for 40 pips from a bounce off an outer band, and 20 pips off a bounce from the mean. It's a cliche, but a consistent 20 pips a day is enough to make you very wealthy over time.

But look at this. Who on earth would want to short it, knowing how the 100,10,10 behaves!!!?? [AND the RSIOMA!!??]

Yes, the 100 sto could be used as a simple system when entering on the oversold or overbought area and get out when it left.

It's just a game of patience and have a open mind to change direction...
I posted before the reason why we shouldn't go short at this point.

I Believe this DS on H4 will play as a cross trade short, and that chart space on H4 is a whole week, so the move should begin next week probably, what do you think Alien?

This is the end of another trading week for me, and i'm very happy with my new slow and steady account, using small lots it's one the best things that Alien has taught to us, i don't get caught by the fear and greedy anymore, "slow is steady, fast is fragile" thanks Alien .

Obrigado por sua análise geral e dica sobre o ADX Alien (alterei a cor e fica mesmo muito mais fácil a visualização, veja anexo).
Você poderia compartilhar comigo o indicador que aparece na janela 2 do seu template publicado no seu post no. 13087? Pelo que entendi da sua resposta não é o indicador do Nihilist que estou utilizando aqui.. quero comparar e deixar meu template mais parecido com o seu. (inclusive vou acrescentar o Zig Zag pois facilita tambem na visualização de divergências)... tambem estou trabalhando/estudando para aprender identificar divergências!!!.
