I missed the retrace at 11am on UCAD, just got in at 12715.8
I blame the missus squarely on that one.
12884 is still the mid-term target.
13335 is the long-term.

Enjoying the conversation, but have loads of stuff at work, so just have time to open some longer tf trades and not to write something useful.
I am now playing with commodities, I expect corn and wheat to drop significantly after some spikes today/tomorrow. Very good RR trades possible if your broker has those instruments available.

I agree in commodities......hence my comments on Sunday night. Big slowdown in Chinese demand as supplies are increasing .... Bad for commodities, bad for AUD and CAD. Right now I am not even looking at EUR trades...too volatile and headline driven.

Yes! My broker (O@nda) has them, and a couple of others (sugar, soybeans)
Combined with a leverage, and quite some fluctuations seen recently, very good profits are possible with a moderate/small risk.

Exactly what I'm thinking now. Got sucked into some short term "headlines" as you say Mike. But you can't deny the big picture's influence. Aussie economy is so linked to China's but my compatriots back at home - some have no idea. Australia hasn't had a "recession" like the rest of the world has done... it could be coming.

AS a CFA I look at the big picture. However, I trade within that big picture by using CSM and the signals that my system says. I often trade larger size when the two are in synch.

Checking it out!
IGIndex divides it up between the exchanges: Chicago, London, Paris. I take it you're looking at Chicago for all the commodities?

FWiw....the GBP appears to be taking off some of the earlier than expected rate hike pricing in that has been occurring. The recent downturn in Eco numbers is ousting rate hike expectations back to 2016. Combined with the uncertainties in Europe and we could see a multi day pullback in GBP. Just my .02

Yes, the prices of wheat, corn, soybeans futures as stated by my broker are quoted from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
