I don't go for fixed R:R like risking 10 pips to make 30. Cause when I flip positions (when the trend turns form long to short) I start increasing the short-sizes.

NFP - I have started on $100 a few times learning to trade. starting with .01 lots, painful but it makes you learn how to get better. Saying that, I am hoping to never have to start on $100 again.

Volume is not the answer/king to Forex. The volume you have on your screen comes from the feeds your broker has access to. It is just an indicator like MACD or the stoc's. It represents information from your data feed. If your broker could give you all the volume in the world, it would be the best broker ever!1. I don't even think Barclays has all the volume feeds.

Dimi.A - I had a good laugh at your pic

Oh and I forgot, have a look at GBPJPY, if you had traded the trend a few days ago, with a stop loss, You might have been cut off with a (large) loss, or a close on profit, depending when you put your order in. Trend trading does not always work, but a good start.

Just let me add that that Volume comes from a True-ECN Broker; in other words, a more reliable Volume.

You know you probably have an "edge" when you have carefully compiled and accurate records of at least 200-250 consecutive trades showing a positive return and a statistically significant positive profit factor, net of all dealing costs.
