I was looking for help with a Volatility indicator, and in the search engine in FF, I find with this Thread I have read all, and all the principle and my beliefs in Forex are integrated in this system, the principles are the same, the only difference are the indicators. I NEED HELP to convert the Synergy pro Volatility indicator into a histogram. the histogram will show grey bars no trading and green bars with different intensity of green according to the angle of inclination. See attache images with explanations.

Comparison of the 2, see the angle of inclination is important to determine the strength of the move to see if there is going to continuation in that direction

Thanks bro, in trading scalping style, do you put trailing stop? Lets say our target is 8 pips, after having 5 pips profit, we moved our stop loss to +1. Is it ok? Or any idea? Thanks

if your style is intra-day scalping, then aim for small pips. In my opinion, moving your stops is unecessary for such small targets especially considering current overall market volatililty. I am currently using an intra-week style of trading that targets more pips, so I generally move stops for protection and look for re-entries if the market takes me out but setup remains valid. Its been a good week. Equity running at about 50% now.

Hi

is it possible to have this indicator so it does not colour all the candle and instead only colour the body between the open and close so it does not hide the wick sizes.

it is proving excellent in using it in MTF mode, by this I mean setting your trading TF with a line size smaller than the next higher TF indicator which is wider and the next higher set at the widest line size. I do this for three TF's and you get a very good quick real time traffic light of the context of the three TF's. The downside is the way the indicator hides the wicks which would be better if it did not.

in the attached the H4 is down, the Daily is down and the weekly is up based on the thick red line with the outer lime

the daily is down (thin red), the weekly is up and the monthly is up albeit not on the screen, which helps on space

this can be done on any set of TF's it just needs the respective bars to be selected and the line thicknesses from thickest (highest Tf) to thinest (lowest trading TF)

hope this makes sense

The link below takes you to a prior topic in this Thread. I am interested in trying to understand what the mathematical basis is for the method in the VQzz2 indicator. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Hey MathTrader7, just want to let you know, alert is on, color change in high volatility, got no repainting issues this far, everything works great, I don't think you need to find whats the cause of the problem anymore, your indi works perfectly in live trade.

Hello.

Would it be possible to make a similar histogram for momentum and volume similar to the Chaikin histogram?
I'm sorry I can't name a good momentum and volume indicator as I'm very new to forex.

Also, will the Chaikin histogram work as well on the daily charts?
