Europeans go for holydays during July and August, so expect low volume trading during those months at least in the eur pairs.
Since several years I trade, it's what I have experienced.

In my opinion mid June - beginning of September is a holiday time, volumes decrease and less people trade. So, whole summer is holiday time!

Through June 7, my system averaged 5.2 trades per week.
Since June 8, it has averaged only 3.8 trades per week, with only 17% as much profit per trade.

It is now mid August, and in previous years this slowness has last til early September.

However, it is worth noting that this system (and probably any robust one) is still profitable, and not really rockier -- just fewer trades with far more breakevens.
These three months have been the equivalent of two weeks trading :-)

Aug 10 to Sept 10. It ends the trading season with NFP and his pullback. It stats again with an important FOCM and other news.

Dec 15 to Jan 7-10. In fact around Dec 5-10 it starts weakening. After new year the first week is off.

Of course you can chase a few fips, but instead od 60 pip movement it is only 15-25 pip and in almost random direction. For this reason many account blows, mine too suffered a little loss instead f a regular big profit.

I think it is better to take a break, read a book, read forums, whatever else, just not stress yourself with trading.
The holiday is part of the work: in some countries they are payed days for a good reason. Recharge your batteries.

The foreign exchange market is a global decentralised market for the trading of currencies. This includes all aspects of buying, selling and exchanging currencies at current or determined prices. In terms of volume of trading, it is by far the largest market in the world.
Here I am providing all Toronto stock exchange holidays list.

Usually it's the from the end of June through September. And then there are the winter holidays, when the market is just as asleep as during the summer. Thankfully they last only for about a month.
