Hi Tim wishing the best of luck. If ppl can turn 10k in 1 million I don't see why 500 can't be turned in 1 million. It will take longer but I think its possible. I am also aiming to do this, hope to build it upto the million mark in the coming years.

I found the article, and readers' comments interesting and didactic. :

Those 3 traders are also on a youtube video (page 38, post 744 of this thread)

This documentary is so dismal on so many levels when dealing with the "trader at home" types.. It really makes you want to cherish having a "real job".
Anyhow even this charlie dude is a fraud.

He is just promoting his trader training scheme:

One of better known educators disclosed that education makes up about 40% of his trading related earnings. Why would one forgo something like this at the same time as may be helping someone out? They might also enjoy teaching or teaching could be helpful to them with their own trading. Eventually, you may not trade the exact method. Not everyone takes their career path in line with the major taken at university. Education is just a stepping stone which will at least assist with general development, including as a trader or investor.

I am sure Charlie is not a fraud! He was trading live every Friday morning, and the NFP in the afternoon, and AFAIK he was always coming out with big profits. Having said that he is not a conventional retail trader either. He trades 5 standard lots/pip = 500,000 U.S Dollars/pip so the price has only to move 10 pips in his direction for him to make 500 US Dollars ~ 320 GB pounds!! Obviously none of us can trade that much money and that is why none of us can make money like he does. In other words he does not make many pips. He only makes lots of money because he trades large volumes/pip.

I did mention that on his free webinar and I pointed out that joining his trading room would be utterly useless to me because I do not have the deep pockets that he has so I can trade like he does. One day I may do but until then I'll be just another small retail trader.

Ok.. I know the standard response "to help others"
I have a very hard time getting convinced that anyone having discovered the magic bullet and can scale up to the millions will bother asking the public for money because he wants to help them out.
IMO the only justification would be to be in a team as partners, perhaps no more than 3 people actively trading the same methodology.

On his webinar everybody was asking how much the course and/or trading room costs to join and Charlie would always say something like "I do not know. You have to email Sam."

Somehow I got the impression that his associates Sam and Kym sell the course and/or the trading room, CDs etc. where he does not bother as he makes more than enough trading.

That doesn't surprise me as nobody can trade the volumes of money that he does.

Hi Tim,

why did you take out your explorer again? losses are inevitable part of trading , we all make losses here ,please don't give up .

i have been making losses over the past 15 years but that never make me depressed or afraid to try again .

really, your strategy has a potential to be profitable in the long run , please stick to your goals and never let anyone to put you off showing your live account performance

wish you the best luck
I always knew that someday I would make it big

Either he went bust or his ego got so heavy his legs broke.

Gotta say that reading this journal was a pain but i kept inflicting it to myself for some reason... It's like the Jerry Springer show, you know the only thing you will see is idiots overdoing it and that it will just put your brain to sleep, but you keep watching xD
The solutions are in your mind, not in the market...

You really have to hand it to Tim though, he [seemed to] mature a whole lot after his big draw down and he became a whole lot more tolerable and even nice! I am sure he is still trading, but may be a little discouraged at the moment. He is probably keeping the Trade Explorer private while he sorts through his emotions... I'm sure public scrutiny doesn't fair very well on a new trader's emotions... or anybody's for that matter.

Tim, I am still rooting for you! Don't give up. You can turn your initial investment into $1 million. I believe in you.

Hey TIM, I wish you are still doing fine and your nose is still up.
For your information, making only 40% or 80% for a week or two does not make a trader.
I know a person who daily invest just 15 USD (By creating a new account) , trading only NY session and converting it into 100 USD or more. Some days he blow the 15 USD account but majority of the time, he converting it into 100 USD or more. And he is doing it from years not from a month or two. He believes that 15 USD loss is not something which can disturb his living life of forex and any profit above 50 USD is enough to give him a living life of forex. Being this thing in mind, he trades with total freedom and producing excellent results. And keeping only 15 USD in account bound him to follow his money management rules . Recently few investors convinced him to trade on there money and he shifted to 150 USD loss base in account and 1000 USD profit conversion target on daily bases. But he never regrets to share knowledge and even he will present you a cup of tea if you meet him in person because discussing forex is his favorite topic. I feel myself lucky to have this man in my life.
Please don't mind. sharing of knowledge increase your knowledge and understanding . It does not decrease your knowledge.

Real traders very rarely appear on forums like FF. I tried my level best to convince him to please join FF but he denied. That's not because he is proud or he don't want to share his knowledge but this is because it does not suit his trading psych to engage in useless discussions and loose the focus.
Forex; the game of movements not the game of candles.
