This will be the criteria for any type of candle then. Time, Renko, Range, HA, whatever.

Exemple : down trend

The chart below is the best entry signal. Because price is trading beyond the channel. It is a perfect area of reversal.


But sometimes price closes on the second line of the channel then the red candle formed then price might continue up further.

If you can confirm with MACD then there is no problem.

I need a starting point for the checks. I need to code checking for trading long or trading short. Thus I guess nobody will trade long when the last ( the closed ) candle is red and nobody will trade short when the last candle is green I thought I can start with this expectation. But I am looking for confirmation because this is a very basic rule. Other checks will follow this rule.

Yes, you can go with when price closes in the channel and red or blue candle formed then action long or short performs.

We can use it semi-automatic. No problem.

I try to say it different:

First and ultimate rule for all other rules:

You only can trade up when the last closed candle is green.
You only can trade down when the last closed candle is red.

red/green = up/down candle

True ???

I never did see something different on your charts. Sure, during the trade the candles can change their colors. This is an entry rule only.

haha, technical specs, hard to express for the techies . this is their thinking when they code. in bigger companies software developers are never allowed to explain their products to customers because the customers simply run away when they attend to such a demo.

Hi,

In order to use the upcoming FX TradeMon indicator ( the new signal monitor ), we must update renko_street channel to the indicator attached. The results have always been the same and I have done the homework and they look the same now also. The indicator itself has nothing to do with Renko Charts beside the fact that someone named it like it is.

4 reasons:

1) we have the source for it and can maintain it
2) the indicator buffers contain the real values now. values are not changed for the benefits of a "nice looking Picture"
3) this indicator is much faster than renko_street channel
4) i will call this indicator from the monitor

TMA checks are working already. Now I continue with SSChannel checks. Stay tuned.

It looks like this ATM

Without checking the TrendBand ( cannot check H4 trend on M5 in strategy tester ). Not sure whether I got everything right with the price location though. Still have some time ... 36 hours are not over .

Nah - it should be good. The monitor is very selective, it rather misses trades than taking losing ones, as long it trades with the trend only.

Here are the rules:

1. The 1st candle coming down ( for short ) after a factal must still close outside of TMA band 3.5
2. Then it triggers the signal when aligned to the trend

not good

I leave as it is. We always can refine the rules when we see if and how we can improve the monitor. I can finish the indi in time and we start to use it on monday. Mission: Great trades and improving the Monitor
