SPY volume lowest I have seen in some time - <40% of average with an hour to go...and of course the averages are trending down....bears all dead and bulls too fat to move....

increase in CPI adding more fuel to the rate rise and helping the INDEX puts we have on, 4 hour on the DOW rolling chart I have looks bearish, it still a bitch to trade lately

just no selling strength, even tiny dips are challenged. I am getting some of what I wanted to see - CPI jump, drop in wti, but it's not enough yet to breathe life into the bear

lines in the dirt for me today are of course SPY $213.00, fiber $1.10 and wti $60 - I need strong moves below those to close the week green - I don't have much hope of that happening unless it gets done b4 JY starts to yak. There's no way the Yellen will utter a bearish word....

Looking at NFLX... quite toppy formation, with daily bearish divergence on MACD / RSI...

Maybe sell June 645/650 call spread for more than $1.50, and then buy 602.50/600 put spread for less than $0.80...

Another version of lets say bearish/neutral play on NFLX would be selling the 1st deviation call... that would be June 680 call. You can get ~$2.70 for it.

BUT it takes more than $6,500 of margin requirement PER ONE CONTRACT (on Reg-T account). Skipping that.
Yep, it takes money to make money. This is not a poor man playground.


OR just sell the mofo call spread and that is it...

hey SDog,

I just bought out of all $213 SPY call short spreads for $0.05-$0.08 net gain, I am sick of having to ride theta all the way to the bottom, but glad to get out w/ no loss, my luck of course is now SnP will sell off heavy and I will have left $0.35-$0.40 on the table, but that's trading. I just don't trust the Yellen to not blow bubbles before the holiday.

I have SPY $215 shorts for next week, looking better....

NO... Jan was volatile, and after that we got weakshit volume and low VIX

2) April is historically awesome month for DJIA
NOT SO MUCH

3) Sell in May and go away
