DislikedIf I practice a strategy using Forex Tester, then would this still be considered "back testing" ? This is the only way it's possible to "forward test" a strategy. Can I assume that real market conditions are mimicked and therefore it gives experiance in a shorter time? I understand that the psychology of having real money on the line is not experiance. DislikedI bought the forextester a few months ago but I always caught myself 'cheating' and fast forwarding during more boring times. I personally find that backtesting did not work for me, but maybe it's a personal thing. It eliminates all emotions and the psychological impact for me which I found have the biggest impact during my live trading. Just my 2 cents RexIgnored

Disliked{quote} Nik, yes I bought it. It's alittle more sophisticated than the one incorporated into MT4 but I found that nothing beats live experience. It's a nice tool but not a must-have. I now prefer forward testing (demo) which is much closer to real trading. RexIgnored
