Hi Sai Ram,

Just one more question: How can the Fisher be so much faster than the price ?

I highly appreciate that you share your system with us and I don't critisize at all. I see the system evolving and try to contribute in this process. I just provide input and if you think I'm wrong please don't hesitate to let me know. I need to learn a lot.

Before I forget ... a candidate to replace the Fisher ?

Good - for the VQI. It is a clone of the #Pallada VQI and has been developed by mladen, a well known guy in the developer's scene. I worked on it to make the histogram ( optional now ) and implemented #property strict. Property strict is a Compiler flag which helps to write clean code. It does not tolerate mistakes like pointing out of an array and a lot more. Code compiled like this is supposed to work stable because the developer is forced to code more clean.

It is pretty good. You can replace Fisher to SS2009 . For me it is no problem.

Here is the code of the SS2009_B. IMO it's a good indicator ( repainting as well ) and it had a huge performance problem when I got it. The author is unknown to me. Performance problem is solved and again, property strict.

I will write another posting with the updated rules and one more question.

Hi,

So, here are the updated rules:

1) We need the H4 trend ( 5e/10e H4 TrendBand ). We never trade against this trend. Lets say this trend is up now and we want to trade long.
2) We look for a reversal candle formation. After a bearish candle we get 2 consecutive bullish candles. This triggers now:
3) We look for the current trend ( 5e/8s Current TrendBand ). It must be up as well.
4) Both SS2009_B and MACD must be up.
5) All of the conditions above must be in place short after a we got a corresponding VQI signal. Short = no longer than 3 candles ago. We do not enter on candle number 4 or later.

Rule #6 is no rule a computer can identify. We need to be more precise here:

6) The lower the price is in the TMA bands, the better it is.

We have 4 TMA bands. Every TMA band ( channel ) can have a center, upper and lower line. The price can be above, below, inside, outside or cross something. Could you please try to develop one or more related rules which can be coded when you find the time ?

*** trading short is just reversed.

Please don't hesitate to change everything you want to change.

EU closed manually +14 pips because price bounces on the middle channel.

If price does a clean break on the middle channel I would let the trade continues .

LONG TRADE RULEs

i) Trend H4 is up (blue bar) -- 5/10 ema cross up

ii) We wait for price to retrace by looking the SS2009 is red ( when SS2009 is red means the retracement is processing....)

iii) Go long, when 5e/8s MA (represents price's momentum) cross up (blue bar) confirmed by :

iii_a) Macd bar blue + SS2009 turns blue + VQI blue -- All are blue before entering a trade

In sum the conditions to go long -- Trend H4 + price's momentum (5/8) + Macd + SS2009 + VQI are blue --

I am sorry for this.

I have quite some experience with automation in general and a little bit with trading automation as well ( the latter I learned mainly by developing my own EA ). It started as a small project and in the meantime it's big already, nothing is gererated or copied, everything is coded by myself very carefully and we talk about more than 4000 source ( program code ) lines as we speak. Without the supporting indicators. I realized quickly that the exit of a trade is much more complex than the entry. It's about letting winners run and cutting losers short, a thing the human brain can do but a machine can have a hard time with this. I don't say it does not work but I say it's far away from very good.

This is the reason why I want to take this semi-automated approach now. The system should scan for opportunities and if you permit it enter the trade. IMO it would always be better when you close the trade manually but if you wish, the system can do for you as well by making compromises in efficiency.

I honestly believe this is the way to go.

Yes I completely agree with you. When we have a good profit we can put stop lost and let's the trade runs. When I decide to take 14 pips from the market because most of the time when EU goes up 20 or 25 pips then it retraces.

I think your analysis makes a lot of senses. Do it like that.

Hi Sai Ram,

You think we should skip the TMA channel ? Hmm ... why not simply check if the price is above ( for short ) or below ( for long ) the centerline, just for the peace of mind . One TMA channel ( period 56 ) would be enough for this.

Would it hurt ? It's your system. This criteria ( rule ) is not from myself.

Yes, you just remind me about the channel. I want to do that because it gives opportunities to the people to trade. The middle of the channel is important and it acts like

support and resistant. We buy when price is below the middle channel and we sell when price is above the middle channel.

I will put the whole channel in light color when I want to scalp sometimes.

It's my responsibility now to come up with SL and TP rules, I guess they are posted already. Please, whenever you want, change the rules according to your experience. I just needed this we have elaborated to have a starting point which I have now. Whenever you think I might be wrong, please let me know. The EA is open for changes.

I think the specifications are more conservative than mine which are good because we don't want to enter a trade at the top or bottom. We enter a trade when the move is stable.

Hi Gwindy,

It's already in the EA, but how can I talk about it by even not having defined SL and TP rules . It can handle BE and trailing stops. However, I did a different approach here. It's a "floating" SL ( it follows the max achieved pips of the trade point by point at a predefined distance ) and the trailing stops are not always updated on the broker side, only the important ones like BE or moves more than one brick size. This way I get rid of huge network traffic and scalping claims by the broker and this way I can handle a stop loss even when it's less than the minimum stop loss requirement of a broker ( if there is one ). Downside of this method: If the network breaks or the MT4 terminal, the EA has no more control about it's local current ( = "floating" ) trailing SL and only the updated SL on the broker side is valid ( which always respects minimum distance requirements of the broker ). However, I think the advantages outperform the disadvantages of the concept.
