Milestone ..

Last year:

I had the unfortunate idea of checking if the "grass is greener on the other side of the fence" so against my better judgment I gave a try to the very popular Sonic thread and especially PVSRA. Given, that the only thing in common with what I do is that they use "volume". Unfortunately, the methodology demands adding to losers until you get a reversal. When the account was 16 % down I decided to do the unthinkable -- that is, to cut the loss. This goes to show how stupid I am; if I had kept those positions (short yen pairs) I would have margined called a long time ago.. Game Over - Success!.
Obviously, I am not there yet, again I am on a bad streak having to endure an account increasing in value. I am rather puzzled as to what to do next.

buy and sell immediately with huge positions lol...losing via paying spread is definite..except that there is probably a limit to what u can lose..its probably better to withdraw your money and donate it to charity so at least you can feel glad "losing" it...hee
Unfortunately, you may be one of those poor souls cursed with Good Luck. It's a heavy burden (I'm told), and I feel your pain, but apparently it can be a tremendous character builder. So ya got that goin' for ya....
Oh, have you tried "news trading"? I hear really awful things about it. Might be worth a look.
As a last resort, we could rig up one of those trade copier things to my account. Pretty sure that'd do it...
I have a thought!

Given the fact that the price will move in the direction that causes the most financial damage to the largest number of accounts, I coded a "keep what you have and get what you can rule"
But, no worries, failure is always the next trade.

Mingary, what are you doing to get such horrible results? Let me help you...

1--Always add to losing positions, in hopes that the direction will reverse course.

2--Try to pick tops and bottoms, you'll get really good at it over time.

3--Use "reverse money management" techniques: meaning, always use a large stop loss and a small take profit.

4--If none of that works then take a few psychological courses, especially the expensive ones (one good technique is to take capital out of your trading account to pay for the courses).

5--Finally, use as many indicators as you possibly can, and if that doesn't work, trade naked.

These things should greatly assist you on your way to getting that margin call and joining the ranks of the 95%.

Yes I tried and tried all this.. I really wish it was that easy.
Truth is a margin call is a big mirage when you combine good risk management with a good trading system. Margin calls usually come with careless trading especially using extreme leverage ratios.
