Hi guys, I am late to the party, but the fact is as you know already I do not trade the NFP.. but some thing is up this markets a** , lol.. nice volatility.. so might take shot here on a safe one... GU looking good off new bull move it just made, I be gunning for that.. will see..

You guys see the tick movement now.. it's different than most days... this tells you right off the bat that your signals most likely would be presented with larger stops, probably max amount and not the usual 4-7 pips.. this is more like 8-10.. and tight stop is more at the mercy of the market than usual... price would go in your direction but it might hit your stop before taking off bcz of its jumpiness..
Just some commonsense stuff to consider and be prepared for before taking action.

yes i realized...since london open i think i am sitting in the wrong cinema watching a strange film.
also the euro is jumping 10pips in a second.
so i will see what UJ brings and then i think EOB

The other factor is in such high tick volume situation, is the, Spread...

the avg spread for GU atm is 1.8 vs its normal 1.0... I am seeing it go as high as 2.4..
what this does is, harm you on trigger and on stop hit.

for this trade after being triggered you would be looking at a minimum 14 pips risk... which could have been stopped out shortly after trigger if it had messed around a bit.. that leaves a sour test.


Full awareness... don't think high liquidity is all you need... it's a double edge sword.
You want it on your term, based on your plan and affordability... that is called control.

Tycoon i was under impresion that you trade from west coast usa....am i wrong?

My FXCM US spread for GU has been running 0.3 to 0.7, plus 0.8 commission.

after i realized that i am already +96 for the week and its a "strange tick behaviour day" i closed UJ with +1

Your certain about that? bcz if you are then you are wrong... also, just bcz you live in U.S it don't mean you can not trade with brokers oversees, as long as you pay your taxes, your fine.

I also assume that you know I am talking about one tenth of a pip so 10 = 1.0 pips.. 24 = 2.4 pips
