Reduce the Memory Threshold input to 0.5 just for testing... At the moment the market is quiet...

I think this is probably one of the coolest things I have seen on FF. Ever. I tried to program this for Ninjatrader about 2 months ago, but gave up because I'm awful at it.

Nice work -

MathTrader7, awesome work here and elsewhere mate and thanks for sharing. Applaud your efforts for trying to make MT4 more tick data friendly. Have downloaded the indie and am in the process of testing it. Just trying to correlate the histogram output with the tick data shown in the market watch panel. Just a quick question though, what is the Depth of Ticks parameter please? Have tried a few different settings but now not so sure about it.

Hi Nijee, thanks for your positive feedback and testing the indicator :-)
The Depth of Ticks is a parameter for an exponential decay that the algorithm utilizes for better output response....

Thanks. Gotcha, makes sense now. Assume this is T1, individual tick data you are using for each histogram bar, so what is the reference point for measuring speed and acceleration from?

You are absolutely right! The results depends on the broker feed, and I think the best results can be obtained using a true ECN broker....

Yes man you said it exactly "True ECN" will be the right choice. But keep also in mind about slippages.

The probelm: what should be the criterion to close the positions? I just closed the positions manually and disabled the EA. I would like to hear your opinion about the criteria/rules to close the opened positions by speed/acceleration of the market.

Just fall in love for the hard work of MathTrader !
Just amazing that you catch some spirit of scalper like me, 'cause as aledipi highlight, i am really convince that with good broker's feed your EA can keep some green pips to the market !

Hope you release your EA soon for compare the results, depend some live data from broker.

If i can suggest some implement:
- avoid news time because spread expand too much (use FF calendar for that)
- make a possibility for us to determine the max spread we want before running the EA

Follow your wonderfull work.
Big thanks to you Math

Hi Jb38!
I love extreme scalping since it is my market hypothesis that we cannot predict with high probability the long term state of the market, but I do believe that we can, with highly enough probability, predict the short term market movement and take advantage of. I really need the experiment, and opinion of the other trades especially scalpers to improve the strategy and the EA. I will share the EA later, when there are some clear rules of entries/exits. At the moment, I'm just trying to figure out the exit rules; the entries are based on the market speed/acceleration, but no idea when to close the positions
