While waiting for Ty's reply, I think I can asnwer this one as I too placed a short PO on the candle you mention: simply the buffer didn't allow the trade to be open at that point.

I am very excited today since I'll be send home this evening.. wish me luck my leg is still in the cast, my back not healed yet and would need to go physical therapy of course down the road when the cast comes off and else. I had a torn acl and broken ankle.
enough of negative stuff which I hate, its just a little update in case you cared to know.
I'll be trading full force since there is nothing else I can do, lol.. I owe a lot to my wife for taking care of me and other things and couple of good friends.

Ok, about the point I wanted to touch... it is in regards to a situation happened during the last session when the GU trade as the first opportunity signal got triggered and after some minor gain bounced to retest the HL where we normally place our stop.. in this particular case our dear member Hammertop was in this trade live along with me where he got stopped out on the retest and I did not and eventually nearly hit the target mark and I walked with +16. This very same case might have happened to others as well.. so when hammer brought it to my attention in PM, I understood what happened and gave out a explanation, and now find it necessary to put it out in the thread as well.
Here we go..
There is a little yet important detail that one can not leave out about placing stops beyond HL/LH; according to the nature of the pair that you are trading and taking into accounts that we deal with ecn,ndd type of brokers where spreads are tighter but floating, one should know the avg spread size or at times the highest possible spread float size for that particular pair based on your broker. For example my avg spread on GU is about 1 pips, but, during higher liquidity times I see this spread to go to as high as 1.5... so in order to be safe, I place my stop with taking into account the highest spread size + buffer 0.7 WHEN I see price is jumpy a bit or kinda volatile... eg; gu 1.5 spread + 0.7 buffer = 2.2 pips beyond the HL.
The extra 1/2 pips in this particular trade had me saved and sting Hammertop. I think hammer is experienced enough to know he got to go spread (1.0) + buffer but he had not consider highest spread + buffer, and thats the reason for kick out.
Price at times likes to retest the previous recent high or low before resuming back in favorable direction, that is why we have a buffer to save us but buffer without enough of spread amount taken into account is not a buffer and as soon as price touches or gets near HL/LH will for sure stop you out of the trade. We want the price to break the High or low point for 0.7 or a pip before taking us out and not to take us out with just a punctual retest or a few pippets break.
So know your pair, it's nature and it's spread movements in order to place your stop accordingly.

I hope it's clear as it is a important little detail, that is why I felt it's necessary to go over it again in depth.

Hi folks, I just had my mobile station installed, tested, wired up and ready to go.. pretty excited about it since it got done exactly the way I wanted it. I will be trading full force for the next few months. My mission for the following months is to speed up my recovery during the day and trade hard at night.. I expect some more rustiness the up coming week but will be fine after that confidently.

I want to set some grounds before heading into full force trading and at the same time staying active in the thread (obviously per your requests and interests)... right of the bat I want to tell you, it is not easy to do both. As you know I do and show live trades followed with snap shots, all that without hurting my full potential results for most part, (live trades and hands on trading is the best way to transfer the goods to the follower, or at least is what I believe and know to do), however, it requires physical and mental quickness, which I can do, it's not a problem, but extra and meaningless aggravation is one thing that I do not tolerate.. so please do the following:
number one, please have the basic martial out of the way by at least reading the first three pages, the important posts in post one, and digging the important details of the method spread inside the thread. Two, I will only help and respond mostly to the people who are active in here and the ones who are actually trading this method.. so, I need to see your charts, display of entry and exits, live charts trades charts would great if you can, management tactics and discussion, day ends results & charts with clear entry exit points, helping others etc,...
This is your thread, lets keep it useful and fruitful for yourself others and all to set high standards.
I would like to ask one last favor to do for me before anything else. If you are a serious and an active trader of this method, I like you to to let me/us know by making a post saying: "You are a serious active 45combo trader".. I need to know who you are!, and I expect most of you to do this before today's session or by start of next session.

I like this thread and I like to be around, but only if it does not bother me or get under my skin too much, otherwise I will not be sticking around. So especially the time that I am static due to my injury, try to make the most out of it if this is the method that you truly believe and want to grow from into a financially independent or more prospers trader.

However, I remain silent in this thread all this while trying my best to pick up the techniques and reading every posts by you and others .
So far, my results have been 50/50. I will be continuing practising this method until I'm profitable consistently.
My target is to be able to double my demo account before switching to live trading.

I look forward to read more of your invaluable advices/points from time to time.

Hi birdland. Well, i took the full loss as it was the 1st trade in the morning. I wobbled a bit about both tightening the stop to -3 and also exiting at the long red bar that touched the 40, but still believed in a double bottom. Too bad... ready for another shot

On ej trade I was looking for another retest of the top which it kinda did but not quite there and shot down really quick.
