Good morning all...

The DAX seems to be returning to its natural moves again which is great.

Taken a sneaky +30 (think I got the same short as you PiptheRipper).

It still seems to have got ahead of itself... But that trend is up. I still think it would be easier to play this if she'd pull back a bit.

Two really nice, low risk and steady trades out of the DAX this morning. +30 and +30 with virtually no retracement on either.

Hi all, I have been between cities this week doing admin. The DAX has been really flat this last while, haven't traded it at all. I'm going to do a full week of it next week and will probably share my actions live as before.

After systemic selling set in through markets around the globe the major index are all showing a decline with buyers moving in towards the end of the session.

I posted a prior chart where the S&P appeared to have started a "channel down".
The moving average I've put on the chart is a high probability strategy (150 day sma) I use it to enter long trades on the S&P with great confidence.

RSI
Notice the behaviour of the RSI? This is quite unusual. Where I would usually be bullish and advise that when the sma gets touched you can buy... I would be more cautious this time... And I wouldn't repeat a failed entry...

Hi HP,

I'm not sure if you're bullish or bearish? I am not going to trade this on Monday. I prefer to remain in cash when an Index pulls back on profit taking.

The chart is bearish in nature and risk remains to the downside.
Note the pronounced -ve divergence

Open.... GAP up, couldn't close the open window from Thursday but did drop flat to support.... Will need to keep the powder dry till this Monday session is over before I commit to anything. Good move from China very accommodative...

Been busy with a trading project in China which provides a new insight to how things are done in other parts of the world, that and I speak Mandarin about as well as I speak Tagalog...

DAX is cooking this morning with 3 text-book trades in the morning session. Sadly I missed all of them despite being at my desk but its good to see some life back in her:

The DAX has been much better this week. Today it's been great. I managed to bank 60 pips. The ATR has been reached, so I'm done for the day.

I was short at 625! I closed it for a +10 after a shallow pull back as it was already past the 100% ADR...GUTTED!!!

That must hurt, but hey it happens. 9 out of 10 times, price will not run and you will end up taking a loss instead.

I got in at 617, managed to get +94 pips on that one.
