Need a new laptop for running Metatrader

I've been using a 15 inch macbook for the last 3 years and love it but it isn't the best for metatrader so I have decided to bite the bullet and get a new laptop. Consider it an investment in my success What kind of spec do I need to run a load of charts and Renko on Metatrader. Any recommendations from anyone who has recently bought a new laptop?

And may I know why your macbook is not good for running metatrader? I have a new Asus (i7, 15") and it is working well with metatrader.

How much are you going to fork out for a new machine? I'd suggest to buy Mac Book pro some latest version with i7 processor it effortlessly runs all necessary trading software for me.
You can't run metatrader on a mac without using third party software. Certain things you can't do like you'd want to. I'm looking at a 15inch HP Envy with I7 processor and 16 gb ram. Should cover it. Every time I try and find a new laptop to look at there are as many bad reviews as good so it is trying to decipher which ones to believe!

Find me one product on this earth that does not have a bad review somewhere on the internet.
My suggestion would be an i7 tower with empty slots for adding more video cards for multiple monitors. Then get a monitor tree and more monitors so you can view multiple currencies or time frames, whatever you prefer. Get something to build the foundation of a real trading business. You already have a laptop for your personal stuff.

Have you ever seen your charts on a monitor larger than your laptop? Very handy

Great advice but I'm currently travelling in europe in a campervan. Not sure I could fit in the tower let alone the monitors!
