Crazy/Stupid mistakes you committed during trading

over confidence, drunk, not use the style or strategy that already have and the trading become pure gambling hahahahaha

put wrong order between accounts.
thought it's to burst my profit gain at some demo contest accounts, put bigger lot size since market are at fastline. next minute account are blink at redline, and I took the wrong desktop shortcut for different account number, which is the real account one.

I'm familiar with those mistakes mentioned here. I am not 100% sure but I have started to believe that I may have initially misunderstood the market as well - there's lot of hype that "it's the most liquid market" "trillions" blah blah. When you dig into that a bit, it first turns out the trillions are not being traded on the markets we trade. And lot of the institutional business *may* be such that it does not have the effect we think it may have.

Another mistake is opening account with a broker that shows an order book and thinking that what you see is the real liquidity. The reality is that the pros try to "hide their hand" and the retail platforms help retail traders to show their "hand". However even if you hide your hand and wait for the moment, it's still almost random what will happen. If the moment is right you have better odds. Average in to lower your cost if timing was off but at some point, somehow, you have to decide if it was a loser. If you close then at loss and it goes where you initially thought it would go, I would take that as the cost of learning about true liquidity (illiquidity in this case) and that whatever your entry signal was, it didn't take into account the liquidity properly.

When newbie, just select randomly broker without any market research, but their withdrawing speed and customer service is really terrible, and also lost for lack of experience. Newones should select carefully reliable broker and make a soild foundation for live account.

Opening an order in real account thinking that I'm in demo now. Two similar icons in dashboard . It's the craziest out of there I guess

do entry analysis using smartphone while having a coffee and chat with friend at some cafe, sound smart act but the entry trade are dull as alike .

Although in most of the cases my direction was predicted correctly my main mistake was the timing. To overcome that I've developed a system that clearly states the time to enter and exint, really helped.
