Never heard about Ashley Madison until today and I wish I haven't. Did a Baidu search and they are entering China considering it's a big potential.

I am old schooled but what the heck is going on with the world?

Not really. Selling sex is illegal in most countries
Yes really. Every country where sex is illegal has some sort of illicit sex trade, very strongly implying that demand for sex exists regardless of legality; and when there's demand for something, there's going to be a seller.

Black market sex is the best sex to sell: it carries risk premium and constraints on supply.
