I made 1000% profit within 3 month ( 100 closed trades ) overcome 50% DD
I used fundamental and technical trading method, follow this Journal to know how i am doing it

Thank you for clarifying that for me. I over looked it, as the amount of time he took to make that amount of profit means nothing at all. The profit is the key. None the less great job O.P. and it would be create if "Trade explorer" had a way to tell us the amount of "pip-drawdown" each trade had, instead of us having to pull the chart trade by trade.

He did admit a 50% drawdown in his post. For more info, just click the graph and compare the equity and balance, or see his trade reports. Hope this helps.

Not busting anyone here but its very important to realize what is the account starting with. 50.00 account can be risked all and can generate great results since risk of losing all is not detrimental however try doing that with 10k account with 5k DD and you will be shitting in your pants or simply feel stupid or plain bad trading. I'd have to disagree. The risk DOESN'T change at all depending on the size of the account. If a person has x amount of money in no way shape or form does X amount of money determine how much of his account he is risking PER PIP. In other words, if his account was PAMM, the reality is with the same money management (risking x amount of your account PER PIP) then it would not change his drawdown% or anything else. Now if he is an emotional trader then maybe (as most of us are), but the reality is if you have a 1000 usd account or 1million usd account your money management ( how much you are risking) should not change one bit.

Yes I know his drawdown % but I am referring to his "PIP-drawdown". Pip-drawdown is one of the two things required to calculate drawdown %. The trade in which caused him to have a 50% drawdown could of come on a 10 pip loss or a 500 pip loss. Depending on the formation which you see (Assuming you are a TA trader) you will adjust your risk accordingly. We don't even know what his system entails.

Agree totally. And it would take years before a small account will become big enough to become income and still grow. In the meantime you will become more seasoned. 10% a month is a more practical and realistic goal risking about the same. To trade for a living you would need around 50k assuming 10 % a month allowing for small account growth. And dont forget about the 30+% capital gains tax you gotta pay at the end of the year. And this is if you are consistent. Trade psychology with big accounts are totally different. Will you really be able to ride out a 50% DD that may or may not turn around? Risk big to win big. But you'll be your worst enemy. And if you trade in the US, low margin is another hurdle.

Well no offense Davit I honestly don't understand why "psychologically" you would allow your self to go "all in" with a 200usd account compared to not doing so with a 2 million dollar account. Although, I totally understand the premise of your argument, I just don't see why one would "adjust" their money management according to the size of the account.
I would how ever agree with you on the point of "not getting carried away", but as I said one should maintain the same money management no matter the size of the account. If a person sticks to the "2% rule" then it should apply to all accounts.
Simply look at PAMM managers. A pamm manager could open his PAMM with 100 usd, and have all his investors deposit 25,000. His "system" doesn't change based on the amount of money his investors have support him with, nor should his money management.
If you Davit would trade a 200 usd account differently then a 20kusd account then that would mean you have a "gamblers mentality". Why would I say that? Only because a gambler his swayed heavily on emotions instead of "known facts". Do you think if you used an EA, the EA will refuse to open a trade because you are wagering 2000usd a pip compared to 2 dollars a pip? Of course not. The EA doesn't trade with emotions, and if you built the EA then that means you should not trade with it either.

Well you have some countries which pay 0 capital gain taxes, and why would you "limit" yourself to only 10%? Wouldn't it be much easier to trade, and what ever it is your earn at the end of the month is what you earn? I personally don't understand setting limits to profit, when we as traders don't set limits on losses. How many times have you set a SL, only to move it once it neared, and it ended up in a bigger loss. You have countries in which a person can live with 800usd per month with no issue, and that person won't need to deposit 50k usd.
The point which you are making is utterly subjective, when the discussion was only about "money management" remaining the same no matter the size of the account.

I never know this is a good way to calculate drawdown, lol. So a high leveraged trader told you his drawdown is 10 pips but losing 50% is good? Nvm I am out.

Edit: I mean, we never know what his system is, unless he shared, but risking 50% is quite a huge risk. But what happen had already happened, and he manage to bag a 1000% profit, which I think is good. He can have 10 pips drawdown as well as 100 pips drawdown as you mentioned, not really important as it depend on his strategy.

Well a high leverage + high equity trader (as having high leverage doesn't lead to a high drawdown %) would of course have a higher drawdown % because his/her account has a much higher P/L PER PIP compared to a conservative trader. Example. If I risk say .01% of my account per PIP, then a 100 pip loss (which appears to be the max amount of pips the O.P. is willing to give the market) would result in a 1% draw-down assuming he/she doesn't open any new orders prior to the loss. While a person who may have a system to never give up more then 10 pips, could risk 1% of his account per pip (INSANE) but a 10 pip loss would be a 10% draw-down which of course is a pretty decent draw-down to have overall.

All in all it depends on the system which the trader is using, but if a person is aiming for accuracy and profit secondary, then he/she COULD risk more if they wanted to (but of course that isn't advised due to many factors which could cause your 10 pips to be hit quickly).
