I think that the signals indicate the return of rising US dollar may see some declines on Monday, but it is very limited if there

Approaching support, the fall should stop soon.

US consumer index should be good.

hello guys, just quick update. DXY has broken 96.2 to the downside. next resistence around area 95.2. there is pretty clear elliot count of the uptrend. would really appreciate if anyone has an count of this corrective mess. I would expect that if the GDP is good + hawkish FOMC - 95.2 is not gonna be broken and we shall continue up.

too bad this threat is not so active since DXY has huge importance.

any ideas on DXY?

This is good for up to date analysis , also gives up dated support/ resistance levels,,,, But Beware Do Not Opt for the Free Signals, as they never appear..

I'd suggest it was this breaking news (not on calendar) http://www.forexfactory.com/news.php?do=news&id=543875 which caused Yen to strengthen suddenly and hence USD index to break support
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Hello guys, some ideas about DXY

1. pic.: bullish divergencies on all indicators when you take the recent low where we are now and previous low (H4)

2. pic.: bullish divergencies on all indi on the last swing down (M30)

3. pic: very easy triangle play =) a suc break to the upside will form a hammer on D1 (M5).

4. pic.: two possibilities - close above 95 or close to it indivates bullishness by its hammer and is in respect to all the divergencies. Tomorrow supported by most likely good retail sales. A strong close under the 94,75-95 level will leave is wondering whats next as it can indicate further continuation down.

In any case: on FA grounds I do not favor bears since we have FOMC coming and anyone fighting the possitive corelation of Dollar and rates can be called insane

Any ideas welcomed!!
K.

Always nice to see new ideas and new perspective, i dont trade with diverences. to draw horizontal lines i use a supdem indi with the symphonie extreme indi (1h,4h) to prove the levels.

momently i have struggels to figure out the direction of the trend. last weeks it wasnt really hard because the bullish movement was strong. but if dxy moves in a range its harder to predict for me. i use trend channels and some ma`s its a begin but not perfect, any ideas for that? momently i trade the dollar only short because: price broke through support, my 1h 4h and daily channels are bullish and ma`s too.

I don't trade the dollar index but keep an eye on it to get a feel for what is happening with 'the other half' of my A/U pair that I do trade. I try not to have strong ideas on what will happen & to prepare for either way but can't help feeling dollar will strengthen going into FOMC (possibility of rate rise) and weaken after FOMC (assuming rate rise is again delayed).
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I also dont trade dxy (not avalible at liteforex to trade) i just keep an eye on it. for example: if usdcad is at supply and dollar index at demand i dont trade usdcad.
pretty easy but effective.
