You're right. The trading activities of the "Average Joe" is more interesting to the "big guys" and everyone as well. It depends on how you interpret their psychology and compare with the market direction.

High Impact News Trading Today [CAD Empl. Change/Unemployment Rate] - There are high expectations for a favorable outcome for the Canadian Dollar going by the Statistics from Forex Insider. However this is only a probability but meaningful. See today's stats:

Today's UK's CPI news trading was quite a difficult one to trade as the figures came out Flat at 0.0%. but the PPI and RPI had divergent results. However with the help of the Forex Insider I could see heavy SELL pressure on the GBP, and i was sure of my decision to SELL. I made some few pips out of this news release.

But getting back to the orignal posters indicator. Sure the data is from myFXbook, but the indi puts it in your face and on the screen. There is an advantage to that.

"Trading Against the crowd" is one of my favorite trading style, also because it suits well my personnality. Hence, it can't be used by everybody as most of traders (human) need to belong an herd... they stick to consencus or emotional behavior. Betting against the crowd requires strong belief on what you are doing and when you take position against the majority.
This strategy can be powerfull, it needs a simple analysis but no one does it the right way....

I have coded this strategy and I tested it over 1 year:
Demo System
Notice how the System is 90% of the time running positive equity. => It confirms that trading against the crowd is clearly a profitable strategy.
At some point closing trades manually before market reverses could have be a good idea, but my goal was to check out how the EA could handle by itself.

I'm happy with over 12 months of testing and I have decided to add this strategy to my live EA account:

Also discover Crowd Index Indicator... Analysing ranging market based on Sentiment Traders. While market is ranging, it will end up by a breakout (up or down)... When Crowd goes against the breakout... It is very interesting to folllow this strategy (Going against the crowd)... perfect momentum.

How many brokers are you using for data. I think it's a great idea but I am finding some inaccuracy. Have you considered using more brokers for data.
