I've decided to create a separate thread for my Steddy FX Eddy EA I've created. This EA was build to trade during all market conditions on the AUDNZD pair. The technical indicators used in this EA compliment each other in such a way that you will think this EA adopts to current market conditions.

Some statistics worth mentioning:

  1. 8 Year Backtest with 99.90% modeling quality
  2. Max Draw Down: 13,16%
  3. Account Growth: +23,287,27%
  4. Starting Balance = $1,000
  5. Profit = $232,872.71

8 Year Backtest - http://www.myfxbook.com/strategies/steddy-v13/78926

Forward Testing started 04 Sept 2015 - https://www.myfxbook.com/members/fxi...ddy-ea/1357747

Purchase EA for $95 - ex4 file - http://fxinvestfund.com/blog/steddy-ea/
Note: The EA can only be used on 1 MT4 account and will be locked to your account number. This acc number can be changed in the future if/when you change your account.

09 October 2015:
I've discontinued forward testing my Steddy EA. Main reason is I had to chose between Steddy and Swing FX, because I do not have enough resources to forward test both ea's. According to me Swing FX is the better of the two and that is also the one trading my live account, which is why I have decided going forward I'll only be testing Swing FX.

You need SEVERAL months of real money trading that mirror your DEMO track record before you can expect people to send you money. If it is that good why not just trade it yourself and make boatloads of money?

Hi swingtrade65, I agree 100% with you. I need at least 6 months + worth of real account data in order to convince fellow traders to invest in my EA. This EA was created about two weeks ago so I only have forward testing data since 09 March 2015, which is when I started trading with my own money.

But you have to agree to one thing - the 8 year backtest is pretty impressive right :-)

Added another version of my Steddy EA to the USDSEK pair and already picked up two winners today! This is also a long term strategy and will compliment my Steddy EA currently running on AUDNZD. This EA running on USDSEK has been optimized over a 5 year period with a max draw down of only 8.6%.

Hi,

I forgot to change the link to the new demo account I opened.

My live account was not big enough to really trade this EA, because you need at least $500, but recommended is $1,000, because that is what the testing was based on. What happened is the draw down on my live account percentage wise was not a true reflection of the actual draw down, which was a false representation of the EA. I do not have $1,000 to start a live account for forward testing so I started a new demo account in order to reflect Steddy's true potential. I have in the meantime changed the link in the above post as well.

Hi, I'm not sure what is wrong with my website, but for some reason it will not load. I did not give it much attention the last couple of days, but I will ask my ISP to have a look.

In the meantime is there anything I can help you with? Feel free to email questions to [email protected].

Hi, I don't think it is a bug, because I never had that problem. It might be broker related? Did you get any messages in the log file?

It comes with a fixed 20pip TP and 50 pip SL, which is placed at the open of the order. If you don't see the SL and TP in place I suggest you close your platform and open it again so that the EA can refresh its connection. If it still does not place the SL and TP let me know so that I can look into the code for issues. Also let me know which broker you use and what type of connection you use as internet/vps.

Thanks,

Yes, relative and max draw down matters. The 78% you saw might have been when I showed that Steddy can be used for aggressive trading as well when you increase the risk setting to increase profit. Under safe conditions as per default risk setting the relative and max draw down both were below 15%.

Let me know if you experience the same issue with other broker.
