After some 200 trades, I got 54 winners of which 29 reached >+19 pips (53%), average +14 pips, average loss: (-)5.6 pips.
All this, leaving me with +38 pips but overall a loss due to commission.

So I 'll watch you winning guys closely to see how these figures can be improved upon.

ok i see, well even if you are trading break-even, impressing your patience after 200 trades!

have you considered to take 14-18 pips instead of 20 when you see the price is stalling? 25% of my winning trades are closed so.

Quick thanks to Birdland, I just got +40 on GU with the two trade setup you showed, first trade to BE then entry on second.
TP at the same price +23 and +17.

i took only the second one, because the risk of the first was for me a bit too high.

TY again. catch 22 situation for me with the risk, more momentum usually means more risk and bigger SL, I declined the EU entry that triggered just before GU because of this. I was mindful of the 2 trade setup and nearly jumped out of my chair when I saw it appear.

That was brave of you, but congrats for the pips. I only took the second setup because of the reasons the others have just mentioned.

Yes, considering that - I basically wanted to first get an idea of what kind of an edge this system gives (still too early for conclusions after 200 trades with 4 pairs) but it is already shining through, that the basic winrate of ~15% is too low. I can take "early" profits but I think the idea is, to use that option in a protective way? Many time price stalls and then sprints towards your goal...
Also, do you know how many of your "early closers" would have won 20 or ended up at SL?

no, i dont know.

for me the most important thing is the weekly target, then comes the daily target and the low risk entries.

so for example i am +8 for the day, and then a trade comes along and hesitates around the TP.

next step is i will close the trade for +14, makes +22 for the day, shut down the Mt4 end EOB

edit: i have always in mind 5-10pips/day constantly made are enough!

In that case I'm afraid I can't see a 45 combo trade: the swing happened before the cross, and it wasn't long enough anyway (9 pips). Also, the price didn't retrace back enough to touch the 40 ma. Pips are pips, ok, but we better point things out or those who have newly started to approach this system will get confused

and I will continue to trade it as I understand it. Sorry that is the best I can do.

or upset anyone by doing so.

i followed also your trades.

even they are not according to our "guidline", they are interesting interpretation.

you seem to trade the first pullback right after the 40/5 cross...no matter if it touched the 40

it makes sense, because the movement is fresh and young.

but yes, better not to show the trades here with picture, it might confuse new members...

There must be more than that though. A simple crossing of the 40, with no other filter than maybe the 5 in agreement would give too many fake setups. Maybe the momentum in favour as well? Anyway, as said already, that's not Ty's setup and might confuse people.

2 bad trading days. Lost 10% of equity. Every entry touched SL. None reached TP.

Might be bad luck. Because when on demo and very small lots, this system work for me.
