Hi Udine,

I did not take that GU trade because it was at the .700 level, and rule 3 says FF open only .400/.500/.600 levels?

Is this incorrect? Do the rules count specifically for the first entry at FF open and not the half hour?

you are correct, but I did see a nice move up on all of my 4 pairs, so i took advantage of the momentum

I got my GU TP too.
Though it was only 4.1 pips due to slippage.
0.62% so far today.

Yes u are right. Looking now at the FF calendar I could see German data marked in red.
Lately I used the myfxbook calendar...seems more faster and there the same news are marked as medium importance

ok just to be clear here..

how many trades would have been this morning since Frankfurt open:

this does not mean I did take all these, but just to give you an idea

EURUSD:
1. level 1 short signal : not taken entry @ 050 = a no go
2. level 4 long signal: tp
3. level 1 long signal: tp

EURJPY:
1. level 1 short signal: not triggered
2. level 1 long signal: not taken: Daily pivot between entry & tp
3. level 4 long signal: tp

GBPUSD:
1. level 1 long signal: tp
2. level 3 long signal: tp
3. level 4 long signal: no triggered

GBPJPY:
1. level 2 long signal: not taken as entry @ .950 = a no go
2. level 3 long signal: tp
3. level 4 long signal: with entry just below the daily pivot risky entry would have been a SL

how many pairs do you need to watch for 2 winning trades ???

I used myfxbook as news criterium decision, after closely observing PA during the FF session.

Obviously I can't speak for others here but for me it's the 'F' word.....

FEAR

The Risk Reward scenario scares me. For the years I've mucked around with FX I've constantly heard NEVER risk more than 1:1, NEVER! This mantra is everywhere.

In the last six months I'm taking trading seriously and have explored many avenues only to find more and more complexity.

I was attracted to your thread because of the simplicity but must plead guilty to trying to add stuff...not out of greed or impatience, just looking for a little more certainty due to the Risk Reward ratio.

Now in the last two weeks I've gone off on multiple tangents looking at all sorts of wizzband indicators for Slope, Strength etc. etc. None off which seem to add an additional edge (respect to those who seem to make them work)....they all seem to be lagging. I've wasted time.

What I need to be doing is what you've said all along stick with this system as it stands, stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
