The Calendar say's the red news is for the Euro I was in G/U there is red at 09.30am for cable. I don't think it was a valid reason not to take it, but I think you have made a fair observation it could have been a consideration.

yes, but Euro affects GU, UJ and USD from my observation. everything can happen during a red speach.

My 2c, for me the EU is the elephant in the room, when it moves, the dollar is moving, especially over news time and speeches. Most of the majors reacted there at 0803 gmt
