EN - general trend is SHORT, but we have bull divergence on D chart which might give us some pips to the LONG side

- because this is counter trend setup, I would at least wait for H1 RSIOMA to come over 80 and for ADX to gain full power

Dear Alien ,
I'm totally new to trading and started my journey few months ago . Have so many things to learn but I think I'm blessed to come across your thread. Just started reading from the first post and I have to tell you that even I stared recently , I have red and tried many systems . I haven't come across anything as vast and advance as yours. Also I take this opportunity to thank you and all other amazing traders for being so generous and sharing hardly earned knowledge for free. I have met few successful traders and they all ask a huge load of money to teach their systems (which I don't blame them ). I can't believe people like you exist . Oh wait.... you are an Alien !!!! that make sense

Yeah that is a wild one with that news drop , but if you look at the ADX, it took the drop like a man and continued long as the USD continues to gain strength...........

Hi guys,

Just wanted to thanks Alien and everyone for the the great thread. Am currently reading up till page 20 only... many more to catch up!

1 thing that is getting me confused is the way to read the ADX. I'd understand that if the ADX is powering up, it means that the momentum is strong with the trend, be it an uptrend or downtrend, vice versa if the ADX is contracting.

However, how do you determine whether the ADX are powering up or not? On many examples posted, I often see especially the 89 and 144 are flat but Alien's dashboard is showing green. I do not have the luxury of the dashboard on my chart as I believe Alien hasn't share the indicator publicly yet (I respect that).

So, the question is, how do you guys determine whether the ADX is expanding or contracting based on your naked eyes? Base on the slope of the ADX line? Base on the levels 30,60,90?

You can use Jpadvisors ADX dash here or you can confirm with bigger TF's 8.3.3 stock direction....

Dashboard makes easier to read but I prefer watching the indicators' dance.... Dashboards might tell you whether buy side or sell side gaining strength but movement of the indicator will tell you more.... you can see divergences.... and direction... more clear than dashboard....
