Just wondering would this be a good example to this post of what the Big Boys are doing to manipulate the markets to get there best possible entry's with FO's @ News time?

One thing I would very much like to develop is a way to see these larger engulfs. Waiting for price to approach a flag limit or S/D zone, then waiting for a LTF entry can be quite hectic. The thing that has always confused me is when the engulf of a larger zone or area is relevant. I've not yet been able to come up with a repeatable approach to identifying them.

I find overly simplicistic to find entries on past charts - fakeout here - enter here - exit here - etc.

Market is open, bring live charts and show it. That's what redsword did and said.

This isn't really a system as such, as it doesn't follow a mechanical approach. What I will do is draw up some examples so you can see how I go about doing it.

Here are the basics of what I look for. I have two types of areas where I look for price action. The first is the most obvious kind, which is just a basic S/D zone.

Thanks for the great charts, very clearly labeled. But I have a couple of questions.

I do not quite understand what you mean on the fourth chart where you said "Price comes back to it here, but I don't see any clear levels to break below, so I leave it."

So I looked at the fifth chart where you say "And we get a break of all three".

So then it seems you are looking for price to break some levels first on the way down and then to return to the sell zone where you have placed a sell order to be executed. Is that correct ?

So comparing the two charts I would say that what you must mean in chart 4 is that the move down from the left edge of the blue sell zone to the low has no nearby levels that were broken on the way down before price returned to the zone therefore it does not qualify as a good setup is that correct ?
