What you said is true, i observed this long time ago. And seem no one could consistently earn and build up 45 degree angle of equity curve. But seem i am doing well so far. My previous trading result was totally suck. Actually after i understand one concept, then my trading result forever has changed. Thanks to i went to SG casino few times, and study the game. The same could be applied in forex, but forex much more better probability. I went to casino won 8 out of 10 times. The reason is i have my own system and manner, important is don't be greed.

yes, i am from SG. See your equity curve and you are doing well. Same here, just apply one concept and the result is amazing. Use to make it big and then boom big. There is no consistency and I seriously don't know what I was doing. Now, I just need to follow the line/s and be profitable.
Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Maybe you need a limit of losing, just like losing in casino, my concept. Treat it as monthly expenses, maybe lose $100. It doesn't matter to me, will earn back in long run. Of course this is just money management. In order to time accurately, experience is really needed, to understand where the reversal occur, but the secret is come from daily range. The movement will not just head to the floor or to the celling, it will turn, there is a limit of pips in different market environment such as normal day, volatile day, economy crisis day, and etc. E.g: GBPUSD could hit 500 pips during lehman bro collapse. Average is 250 pips. I mean from high to low.

Took another trade today, and made a loss. So far this is my first two consecutive loss of the month.

Total loss: -£86.40

Account now stands at: £1029.94

Its ok you took a loss or two, it will ensure you do not become overconfident and disrespect your strategy or what the market is saying to you simply because you have become almost the holy grail and just that once you feel like you invented the market Boom the market humbles you, I know you would get back the losses in no distant time.

I totally agree, it is good to look at things realistic. If I can advice you something - do not add to the account for a while as too big account may cause fear. Get used to big money, you have quite a few years to get rich.

Taking a loss or two is good actually, it brings you back on earth after a period of euphoric good trades.

If you can eat your loss back, you'll make it for sure

It took me almost 3 years to recover my losses before I am able to generate profit consistently. Indeed these trading experience sharpen my trading skills as well. Don't give up man, you can do it too! God bless you!

I overlook losses, I really don't feel anything when I make losses. And what is with all this "be humble" talk, lol the market doesn't care if you are humble or not. You either make money or you don't.

all these humble talk is about respecting the market. its useful for position traders to not get married into a direction and become oblivious to reversal.
for you, you are a breakout scalper with mechanical stop loss order.. so i guess you don't need to be humble. LOL

Markets are shifting more turbulence ahead. Never become to complacent in a range, cause once a shift happens the tides are up and down and all around. The million dollar question now is.. How low can it go, and whats the next play.

another interesting note is the correlation between currencies are widening its all independence now. Dollar no longer has that tension that it had, so it puts things into a whole new ball game. If dollar doesn't have the same pull, then markets prices will be uncorrelated and will see a lot of cool movement on the crosses.

The market makes everyone humble sooner or later ... if the market cannot make someone humble, the market wipes them out ...

people tend to forget that there will be drawdown as we do not have a 100%system. that's why we have sl. Being humble or whatever psychology bs has absolutely no effect on ur trading profitability. U either have an edge or not. U just need to have the discipline to follow ur plan - enter and exit. That's all to it. In this aspect, I agree with Tim. Keep it up.

Do you have any link that proves it? Remember that it is easy to risk many small accounts like $100, but $10000 in 1987 was a lot of money, even now I doubt anybody would risk for example 30 accounts, each $10000 to win a contest...
