Thanks LL. Is the signal when both lines are pointing in the same direction? Are you able to share the indicator that paints the dots and arrows?

Hope to see you around more often, are you gonna start a thread with your method?

Hi Nods

I dont think I'll be starting a thread somehow...people aren't ready for a new idea, they have become so accustomed to using candles etc, which is fair enough, I used to after all...but now I realise that they are only tiny fragments of the line that I'm interested in. Anyway, if you get your teeth into it and start to see the power, then feel free to start another thread...who knows, people may eventually become converted to what really matters concerning price.

Anyway, back to your original point, how to trade the lines?

Ok, there are a few ways I look at it, and I wouldn't want to blow you away with anything too heavy right now on this step.

The most important detail for this system are the dots that you see, they are an indi called super signals channel, I got mine off of another site somewhere. I have mine set to only show the dots, I'm not interested in the channel. I treat the dots as a kind of dynamic s&r indi, and you'll understand that concept more clearly once you have a chart up.

I've attached a chart, for the basic signals to look for highlighted in yellow and numbered 1 -4 in this case (1 being more important than 4 etc)

I often use a prelim order btw, but everyones' MM is different I appreciate that, so I won't bore you with my views on how I deal with risk etc.

Hopefully the attached gu M30 image is fairly self explanatory, but just say if not.

I take my hat of to you LL. It is clearly working for you. And I can see the method in the madness. When the highs and lows of the previous period are in sync then price should follow? Can you post or send me the indicators so that I can check it out, you only posted the tpl file. I will pm you with any questions if that's ok?

I saw your Traders Dynamic Index with histogram... may you explain how to use it as well as sharing your indicator ?

Hi Budi, An open source DOTSv4 doesn't exist, It's a paid for indicator from compass FX. There isn't much difference from the one posted here though.

I use the mtf tdi which is basically the TDI from the higher time frame and the TMS matrix shows the direction of the tdi from the the higher time frames. I use them to make sure I'm trading in the direction of the higher time frames and filter out fake outs. Hope that helps.

How your experience trade with DOTS ? Very simple trading system... but is that true profitable in the medium run ?
You said that not much different with version 3... do you mean the calculation of the level almost the same ? Only have some other informations added in the version 4 ?

I just thinking to pay also if enough good result from traders...

The only difference is it has a guppy filter. I have had good results using it(old version), providing I use tms rules for entry, I don't want to influence your decision but I think version 3 is good enough. You would paying for the support and access to the trading room.

If I get this EA working I can produce some reliable data on how accurate the indicator is, the way I do it now is very time consuming and difficult to manage.

Thanks for the opinion.. now i have more knowledge about DOTS.

For the EA... i think its so difficult to have more than only semi automatic trade manager.... means you have to key in the level...EA will do the rest..

But if... compassfx open the MQ4.. may be the good coder can do full automatic EA...

Just my 2 cents opinion....

I manually place 3 pending orders exactly as you have described, which across a number of pairs is time consuming as you can imagine, anything up to an hour in my case, and I like the idea that you have suggested using a script to make the process simpler.

On that basis, do you have a script available for that purpose please so that I can try it out.

I have tried scripts for various things in the past by the way, but I always seem to run into technical difficulties in getting it set up, and I never seem to get the smiley face, so any advice from you on that would be welcomed too....many thanks if you are able to advise/help

Im demoing the DOTS this week , may be I use it as my "early morning strategy " , just place the orders set and forget .


I also use a script for it and for the " second " order I use a simple trailing stop with the configuration of the distance from entry to TP1 .

Im really not sure if such a " mechanical " system can work in any kind ......, but I don t sleep tight and I have some time to place some orders until I go for work .
The trailingstop is my " EA to manage the DOTS "and my broker gives me the trailingstop for free .

Hi Emm

That seems to describe exactly how I am currently placing my POs, all entries, stops and t/ps currently entered manually for each "set", which is a lot of inputting across maybe 4-6 pairs that I typically trade each morning.

A script easing that part of the process would be ideal for me, assuming I can set it up, which for some reason I've always had difficulty doing previously with scripts

Any help would be appreciated

Would u be kind enough to instruct on this thread or be kind enough to start a new thread. It would be a boon for small traders like me, to be profitable consistently and do it stress-free. please do consider. I would have asked u on the tms thread itself but did not for obvious reasons. I'm glad you find the concept interesting, most people do not ! lol

In answer to your question, I have no plans to start a thread at this moment in time, that could change I guess in the event more and more became "interested", and similarly, I have no plans to rain on Nods parade here either by invading his thread with my stuff.

Having said that, take a look at the above chart, or create your own template (more details are contained in my posts on TMS to help guide you) both charts are two variations along a similar theme that I use, and then tell me what is most apparent to you and what it is that the chart is highlighting, especially on the chart above. It is not a trick question, but I am wondering whether you can spot the obvious advantage that this visual method has (there are more!).

As I said, I've no intention of messing up Nods thread here, so I'll leave you to ponder what you see once you get your charts set up. Remember, we learn zilch by copying alone, we have to think for ourselves also!
