do not know what I hate more:

the round about 2% I will have lost then, or that the count, which worked for a long time, gets invalidated

Ye the problem with that count since begining was that there was no technical bottom supporting it. And as it was falling there was no proper bottoming/rejection that i saw that could have turned it around. But as far as i understand with Eliot you dont want for bottoming becouse then you are late in entry already, not sure.

the movements over the course of the last weeks are a mess LOL

open to too much interpretations

one possibility is, that the sideways action was a triangle, and the recent move down is now the wave 5 thrust out of it.

For me it would be kind of surprise, since my gut tells me that we need more/much more ranging before we go more south.


I removed all the letters on my chart and measured some moves. Out came this:

Hi Jan,

I am not a firm believer in the meme, that Elliott Waves have kind of "fixed" fib-relationships. They simply can hit many, some are getting hit more often than others.

So I think in zones.

The wave down since the 7592 high had some nice structures in order to think about bottoming process. The nice thing with EW is, that you know exactly, at which point your count gets invalidated, so you can match it with your money management.

Today's low was 7256/7, 7255 is the line in sand. So far we bounced nicely. But nevertheless I am elaborating on an alternative count in order to find entry points lower.

And yes: for initial positions I do rarely wait for confirmation

Hi friends,

Trading on the upper timeframes lessen the frequency of participating the forum

Th price yesterday sailled down to the zone where I expected it to form a double circular bottom, honestly there was some more distance to go too like 50-60 pips more, but one of my pending BUY Limit orders is activated and I started to build up preperations for the upcoming Bullish trend which i have been waiting for a long time So for the following business days I expect the price to form the final bottom and maybe activate my other pending BUY Limit order by diving a little deeper.

On the other side EURJPY is kinda a confirmation for this scenario which really has settled in a nice bounce-up zone.

Tiem will show everything ... God bless us all ...

OK, main count got invalidated

have not closed the position yet, because I would cover my short position in support.

Have to work out my count analysis over the weekend in order to come to a conclusion as what to look for and expectancy.


In the following count you can see the 1-2-3-4 up, which I have alternatively labelled as ABC-X- and ABC (that is the pink 1-2-3

So we may face much deeper prices in the future

Either the pink 1-2-3, which is ABC has finished the upwards move, or this ABC was only a subset of a bigger ABC


Have to check out some fundamental as well as sentiment stuff over the weekend.
