So....

Having a really crap week this week. Both EA and AN hit SL when both were up over 40 pips. I was expecting further gains on the AU and considered the reversal just a pullback. The EA reversed in the middle of no where between the 50% and 61.8% fib levels with no S/R levels in sight. The AN had divergent news reports with positive on NZD and negative on AUD sending the chart to a massive correction. I was thinking at the time on EA when AU hit the falling 4hr TL, which is a major level that perhaps I should close and wait to see if the BO comes but obviously didn't. I have a comment highlighted on my rules to not to trade major levels as stop hunts in both directions are prevalent, just a reinforcement (once again) of a rule to keep.

I have missed many pips this week due to lack of profit taking (and a few SL's set to the micro pip a bit too tight). My strategy is sound but my trade management needs work, which is what I keep saying. I'm not sure how to approach this problem, smaller targets larger stops is the obvious solution but if I mess too much with the system then it becomes unprofitable. I was trading at the end of last year with a 20pip TP regardless of expectations and had good results. This method encapsulates a move regardless if it becomes a false move or not. I tend to see a lot of wasted pips via this method however which is why I have being trying to capture a larger percent of the move and in doing so can extend the SL's fractionally. When I can I will go through my recent trades and work out if the 20pip TP is profitable.

I know a week or two of bad results isn't a reason to mess with a system but I am still refining my strategy incorporating Harmonics and Order Flow into the method.
