We're out of our mind. This is going to be my last post on this thread, traderathome continue if you wish. So your funds aren't protected at FXCM and possibly mine aren't either offshore. Someone has mislead you to believe regulation means good broker and non regulation means bad broker. These brokers are not regulated simply so they may continue to accept US clients. Since the NFA/CFTC feels they can regulate the entire planet, regulated brokers outside of the US cannot accept US citizens. So the non regulation is a choice. Now, let's say we both have 10K to trade forex and today we're both going to trade 1 lot of USDJPY and 1 lot of AUDUSD. I'm going to transfer $800 to my broker (only $400 required for margin), but I'm using a 40 pip stop on both. The other $9,200 will remain in my FDIC insured US bank account. You will need to fork over approximately $6200 just for margin on these 2 trades, as what is it now 33:1 on JPY and AUD. We both hold our positions overnight and when we wake up both brokers are gone, bankrupt, disappeared, whatever. Who still has $9,200 to continue trading? Who doesn't? Get it.

let's say your combined accounts are $1 250 000.
will you ship your $1000000 to the bermuda triangle? cause there's no difference, man!

You stated it, it's a public forum. As long as you continue to challenge the facts, I will offer a rebuttal. As far as over $250K, simply open another bank account. I think you're just irritated as you know I am right.. There is absolutely no good logic keeping 10-15 times more with a broker than you need to, if neither are protected in any way.

cftc is a bitch (and one could escape it, as you mentioned).
but for people that chose not to, cause they have a different reason than yours (some are simply lazy, they like it made in USA, some have more than 10k to trade), or are simply not bothered by cftc, you don't have to make them change their mind. you really don't have to.
fxcm is a shady broker. go and shortsell their stock.

In Case Anyone is Confused....

Okey, let me get this straight.

zzmbrm has adjectives and we've no idea of his standards for using them, or his competency to do so.

heph has opinions. Well, good. Everyone should have opinions. It is a sign the brain still functions. But,.....are they "informed" opinions?

Profit Daily, myself, and others too, are simply stating the facts. No adjectives, no opinions needed.

I said this before and will say it again. The USA spot forex market for retail traders is under attack by the false "Regulators", CFTC and NFA. Unless something is done to stop them, this market will end as a viable trading market for USA retail traders. And as I see it, only the USA brokers are in any position to put a stop to the CFTC and NFA, if they have a mind to unite and do so. If they do not, they are showing their true colors,.....that they don't give a shit for we retail traders except for the money they too can get from us. And so far as I am concerned, if that is the case, they do not deserve my business. Others can do as they wish. As for ongoing posting, I consider it my only way to possibly bring about pressure on the brokers to get off their asses and do something about this, pressure that might come if more and more retail traders agree, which might come if they happen across any of the posts. Got it?

Yes, we do trade. I have been at FF for years, and posting real-time trades for a very long time, with charted setups, explanations, everything to help others. How about you? I don't see anything like that at all from you.

And I get a laugh out of you for wrongly accusing us of "bashing" FXCM when we are only stating facts. And you - rushing to defend FXCM - with your demo FXOpen account! Now THAT is a laugh and a half!

Of particular note is the absence in your post of any proof to the contrary of what we have said.

nobody denies that you've been here for a long time and that you've been doing good/great things (and some people are really thankful to you for that).
but you're overexcited over some political views you've developed, about banks robbing the system.
again, some people will love to talk about it. but you're like starting a crusade, which again is kind of boring.
are you trading with fxcm? are you trading at all these days?
just take a look, traderathome, at how many people have put you on their ignore list!
it's because of what you write. it's not that they disagree with you. it's just that they don't care of what you have to say, as long as go on with this shower of words of blaming and conspiracy.

Thanks for wishing me well. A crusader I am and as such I need all the good wishes I can get, because it is a thankless and grueling task that so many others shrink from and do not even want to be witness to. It is no surprise that some put me on Ignore. Many more, however, have me on their subscribe list. However, all that is immaterial.

What is material is that I am a USA citizen in good standing. And I am witnessing an outpouring of expose's of corrupt bankers, corrupt politicians, corrupt heads of corporations, etc. And the worst of it coming down from the top of the financial food chain, spreading its corrupting influence. And I am sick of it. If the good Lord came down tomorrow (or tonight) I am ready. Meanwhile, as only a person of one, I can only do so much. I still have my eyes and a functioning brain. And there is FF, allowing me to reach out so others might become more aware. Should some put me on Ignore, so be it.

If some join the crusade, and if enough do over time to represent enough pressure thru their own responses and broker dealings and political dealings, etc,.....well, maybe some of the corruption and evil behind it can be done away with. I know one thing for sure. Do nothing and nothing will change.

As for some, like yourself, becoming bored with it. I do not ask anyone to read what I write. Does not the drill Sargent tire of saying the same things over and over.? Does not the Captain that hears the drill Sargent saying the same things over and over get bored? Yet, is it not necessary to repeat. Look, the greed and the corruption is not going to go away on its own. If people repeatedly hear about it, they might eventually realize that it is growing and that at some point it might come into their own life, and not in a pleasant way. At that point, awareness takes on a new dimension. Get enough folks aware like that and should they ever have an opportunity to change things for the better, or even just support an effort to change things for the better,.....then somethings can change.

This is why I do what I do.

you know as well these things are complex (out of anyone's league). and because it's complex, you can witness them, protect yourself (if you can), get a share of the action (if you understand the flow of things) if it's possible. look at the markets, look at the society, look at the solar system - they are all systems. every system is exposed to entropy. it leads to an end. can you see an inch of darwinism in what you say about banks robbing people? can you see corruption like a microbe killing an unhealthy organism. everything goes on, transforms itself or perish. i wish you don't put so many emotions in what you see (there's no point in hurting yourself over things that aren't visible from the moon). take care of yourself, of people dear to you, change countries, change names, professions!... there's more on earth and in your life than those creepy banks! good luck with all!

"If some join the crusade" deutsche bank's derivatives value is 20x the gdp of germany. the whole credit system is... you know how much! what can you do if it goes wrong? nothing! will it be the end? no! it's just the end of this paradigm (of banks to big to fail). i'll grow apples :-) and hopefully sell them to willing buyers!

Can End Badly, But Does Not Have To

You are right in that. If things go wrong, terribly wrong, what can we do? There is nothing I can do. That is for sure. And it is probably also for sure that once again the super-rich at the top of such an industry, and pulling the strings behind it, will once again influence governments to open their vaults and let them get their money back before anything else is done! And not caring an iota who will end up paying the bill for it, just so long as it is not them!

But, I would rather things not go that way. I would prefer constructive alterations in the way things are done so that it cannot happen again. We cannot leave such people to having such power and influence. Their brains are no better than ours, and their motives are generally far worse and far more self-serving!

I would like to see the money of the super-rich no longer able to be a corrupting influence on everything and everyone it comes out to reach and influence. I would like to see the super-rich pay their fair share of taxes, based on their proportion of the world's wealth they control, or own outright. They should be paying 99% of the tax bill. And I would like to see the outright lying Republican henchmen of the super-rich removed from office so an accurately priced tax bill can be legislated. There is a lot I would like to see. I could go on here, but even my own focus is such that it is better if I measure this out from time to time in various ways. Just understand, please, that I would like to see those of honesty and good ethics be the kingpins of influence and decision making around the world, not those that have been corrupted by wealth and leisure, and those bought by them or in other ways controlled by them. And I would like to see those that do have some measure of power that can be used to bring about constructive alterations, use it!

We have already had examples of things ending badly. Did it cause anything to be changed? No. Bad endings are nothing but bad endings. Only constructive alterations to prevent bad endings are of any value. If we....if I, if you, if anyone....does not do whatever little they can do, then what? I will tell you "what". Nothing will change. There is no guarantee that I, that you, that anyone who makes any efforts at all will effect good change. But if we sit on our hands - all of us just sitting on our hands - things will get worse.

I, at least, will know that I did what I could, and while it was not much and while it was opposed by others, it was all that I could do.

As I said no need to trade it just be able to view it in MT4. ...Not interested even to view it in Trading station's marketscope. I know where I can find them on internet...I was asking for MT4...I can have those charts in esignal....I am asking if FXCM is going to have those markets in MT4 if not why not?

Hi Buytosell,

Unlike Trading Station, the MT4 platform cannot display charts for non-tradable instruments like VIX. However, I've shared your interest with our programmers and will post an update here should such functionality become available in the future through FXCM Apps.
