Disliked{quote} Dave attached are the news indicators along with an ea which auto writes all trades to a csv file i find it useful when running more than one strategy. {file} {file} {file} {file}Ignored
DislikedHi Dave, I'd like to propose another feature for your EA. I hope you consider it within the scope of your vision for this amazing piece of software. If not, just disregard. I much appreciate having the time of day filter for testing. I use it regularly to determine whether strategies perform better during active market periods. Another very useful feature would be a day-of-week filter. In particular, I'd like to be able to remove Mondays and Fridays to see what impact that has on longterm performance. Looking forward to hearing from you. drofwarc...Ignored
Disliked{quote} That's a good idea and I will see if I can add that today. I have been testing on the 1 hour timeframe and am coming up with some encouraging results and will probably open an RSI Trade Explorer based on 1 hour chart. {image}Ignored

Disliked{quote} Give this a try. EDIT: If you are using an existing .set file with the Time of Day enabled, make sure the EndHour is set to 23 which is the new default. {file} {file}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Will the EA allow me to exclude a day of the week while at the same time limiting trading hours? For example, can I exclude Fridays and trade the remaining days only between 8 GMT to 16 GMT? That's the ideal. It sounds like the end hour has to be the end of the day. The functionality I just described would allow deeper analysis.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Not working for me. In the attached image, I set the EA to trade only on Wed and Thurs, but it trades every day. .set attached. {file} {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} That's because you have UseTimeAndDay still set at zero. (Also you need to do a refresh, because old caption still displayed) Another problem, set end hours to 23 as per Post #586. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Still not working. Here's a pic of my settings. Are they correct? EDIT: Just saw your post. Will refresh, fix settings and try again. {image}Ignored

Disliked{quote} I've set my .set file the same as yours, but it's still not working for me. Could you send me a .set file that you've tested successfully? {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} You haven't set the end hours to 23. You set the UseTimeAndDay to 23. That should be 1. Post #593 refers.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Okay, that worked like a charm! Thanks for the help. Regarding your update, you might want to hold off for a bit. I've spotted a new problem with the every tick method. I'm not sure when it emerged, but it wasn't present in a version I checked that predates your recent modifications to the candlesticks (related to the 15 min chart issue). Give me a few minutes and I'll post a pic.Ignored
