Two afternoon AJ trades. One up, one down. Even after both. Trading south to the BRN was not the best idea.

A very small orphan. The PA was not feeling right and it was getting very jumpy. I exited when there was no confident close or break over the latest top side there.

Another small orphan on the sell. It set up well, with hidden divergence to confirm, however, the BRN that rejected the move down just a few minutes prior, spooked me out. When I bailed, price was stalled. It was not a trade I should have taken.

Not trying to kick you when you're down, but I've let this go for long enough. You're entries need work. I've thought it for quite a while, but I didn't want to be a $hithead when things were going ok. Price bounced off of 1.12750 3 times. You had the right idea, just poor poor execution. OR, If you want to keep trading that way, and this may be a reality as well, (market orders, etc - buying or selling when you feel there's confirmation) DROP your lot size AND run with a bigger Stop. Had you been able to hold onto to those trades, you would have made close to 50 pips, instead of giving away 35 like you did today. You were in @ a good spot, however, I'm not convinced that you even knew it or could explain why it would be good.

Anyway, not trying to nit-pick. I will say, go back over your past charts and look @ the trades you have taken. Look @ what the difference would have been in your results had you used pending orders, versus market or whatever it is you are doing at the moment. I promise, you'll see you are leaving $ on the table.

No worries. Say what you want. I'm not bothered.

I did see the support because I looked to the left on a 15 minute chart. That is why I took the long to begin with. The final sell was....emotion.

Lunch time trade. bought at the 50 line plus spread. out at 6. Lunch time, end of London session. not expecting a lot. Entered based on CCI and Stoch in agreement while price was coming off the BRN and the strength meter showed GBP on top with USD in the middle. The GBPJPY and GBPCAD are to expensive for me to take. As I see it now, I may have exited to early. Which reminds me of a blog I read yesterday: https://therethinkgroup.net/nailing-better-trade-exits/

Mongo, any thoughts on this one?

Trying to trade the M5 divergence. One small loss. Took a second one, but thinking it is not going to work. there seems to be a lot of support at 1.5288'ish. The other thing that makes this a pain is that it is the two strongest pairs on the strength meter. Foolishness to even be messing with it. Kick away Mongo...

I just added pivots to my chart and see that The area I identified as causing issue, is R2...nice. There comes a point when you have to much on your chart...Do I use the pivots and not the quarters, or not? I have no answer.

I escaped that short with 3.9 pips, giving me a total of 0.1 pips for the day

Not kicking. Just sharing. I have 3 charts I'm sharing. All from the pair you traded this morning. On one, I've illustrated what I see on that chart as far as trading goes. On another I have changed the lines from 12.5 to 6.25 - essentially halving the quarters. The third is the same as the 2nd, except I went back and highlighted the quarters as a visual.

I will run with the 6.25 lines on there often times. Just as a visual reminder and cue. Also, as far as stop losses go, I'll use those as a gage. If a pair adheres to those lines pretty nicely, I'll place my stop just outside of those lines. If its a bit messy, like the cable tends to be, personally, I won't trade it, but if I did, I'd have to adjust my stops and drop my lot size down due to the robustness of it.

Yes, you can have too much stuff on your chart. That is also why I don't always share the 6.25 pip line setup. It can be a bit overwhelming visually. It may or may not work for you. But just wanted to show you to give you some perspective.

No trades yet. Had baseball practice last night. Throwing batting practice wore me out apparently. Just getting going. Living in Florida has it's perks. It's 55° right now. We are enduring our week of winter @ the moment.

I've been at this for a long time.....4 years or more. Nothing but loss. I'm obviously not cut for this. Guess I'm a car salesman after all. That sucks, but that is what it is. I will not be posting anymore and will be shutting down the TE. I need the cash. things are really rough, with winter and all (people don't buy cars in winter as much(or I cant sell them)) and the electric bill is through the roof!

You made the right decision. Not every one is cut out for trading. No shame that you are not in that few percent who make trading profitable. Many have been on this site for years but cannot face the fact that they are not going to make it as traders but you have the courage to recognize that. Well done you. Good luck in any other venture you undertake.
