UJ just reached ADR high...just below 120 roundup with divergence on both 10 pip and 3 pip charts. Will look for a 10 pip chart reversal. Will look to trade a cross (EJ or AJ) as dollar is relatively strong at this time.

Didn't take trade off Renko chart. Saw price consolidating on 'normal'chart but Renko chart confirmed entry and kept me in trade where before I would second guess myself, jumping in too late or jumping out too early.

Placed 3 trades and went out for a few hours. 2 hit TP (+120 +209) and 1 still running.

Came back and thought I would try to grab a few more - aiming for 50 pips. Trade still running. Maybe I'm being greedy. Hmm. Might close earlier.

GU +117. EU +20. Way more pips from GU than I expected, I just kept moving my TP and SL and it just kept going. EU was a news trade which did not get going at all. Instead some nonsense comes out about greece and price plummets, Does any one really believe that Greece will pay its debts in the manner that they are currently structured?? What are they going to do, sue them for none payment??

OH. On the EU chart the dashed Horizontal lines are from Top to Bottom, 4Hr candle open, 1Hr candle open & daily candle open and the Blue MA is the 1440, no idea if these will help or not but I thought I would have a look.

Now I know what happens to all the money in the market, it is going into your pocket, if I were to visit you would the directions read " turn left at the little house and keep going until you come to the biggest house you have ever seen"

it looks as if you are still entering on the TDI cross on the 15m charts, have you looked to see if the signals are any good using the TDI on the Renk charts, just curious?

No big house yet - I spread bet so my lots are small. Still aiming to improve strike rate first. Big house will come in due time...

Yes, I too am curious to see if TDI will work on Renko. I know a previous poster said it was unlikely owing to the lack of time element but I wondered if it needed to be so. As I understand it, TDI is based on RSI which is a sort of oscillator. So I thought why not try both the TDI and create a TDI-like mechanism based on other oscillator such as MACD - hence the numerous indicators at the bottom of my chart. So far what I've found:

a) TDI signal is NOT very clear on Renko chart, however,
b) The Red/Green cross or hook on the MACD equivalent is actually quite good.
c) The 'MBL' line adds an extra dimension.
d) Extremes are harder to define unlike the clear 32-68 level on TDI, but the 0-level is helpful to confirm direction or strength of trend

Hi Dee,

Had my first go at your divergence method today. Like every other trade I make, it turned around and went the other way unfortunately. Only on demo, so no damage. Any advice on where I went wrong would be very gratefully received.

EU +5 +25. I was waiting for price to turn back up but instead it broke out down, rather annoyingly it then came back up and took me out for +5, so I re-entered and it then went to target. I was still waiting for it to go back up and when it did with a nice 123 reversal back into trend, what did I do? I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off, should I shouldn't I what shall I do, in the end as you can see I missed the trade. Is there a lesson to learned from this, Yes!! Don't be me on a Friday afternoon.
