Sorry all, I have been reading FF for years; just created account because I wanted to partake; This thread seemed different and with a visit from Kosta to boot also. The OP has very great posts and information; plus this technique is very structured and logically founded. Last night and morning however I have seen rudeness, desperation and over trading with a sprinkle of justification for a deviation based on a single result. I can't be a part of this, I have seen too many FF threads go this way. Thanks FX-Tycoon for the information on how you trade,...

I would say, just ignore whoever you think needs to be ignored, learn the system and keep posting/asking; what have you got to lose? As you said, this thread has high quality info and structure and as long as the majority of participants keep showing their interest and work it will actually lead to some good results for a change!

Everyone's been shorting EU directly into the daily pivot all night. I know the system says to ignore pivots, but you have to consider how many people are buying off of that pivot. It's held over 3 hourly closes. It's not going to break unless there is true momentum. Euro made a huge 220 pip move yesterday, today's range (according to my platform) is 49 pips. It has slowly slowly crept downward, giving back a little of yesterday's move. All the while there has been nothing but good news for Eurozone. I will look for shorts if it breaks and retests...

{quote} From crossover point to the height... (not from the candle that caused the crossover) Your second question is not very clear to me but I think what you mean. If you're talking about the instance when price is pulling back after a qualified swing for a trade where it has to touch the 40 ema and so forth. if this is the case, your worried as to what to do if it goes beyond and close one or two candle below the 40 ema!!... well that is why i got the PB filter confirmation, which is the mac going opposite or 5ema crossing over... as long this...

Thanks for your help! You answered all questions, but i have a quick question, what do you mean by MACD going opposite? For example, if it is a buy, do you mean it is going opposite if the histogram bars are green, but are declining, or do you mean it is opposite if it is solely red? Thanks!

Hello friends.
I want to discuss EU chart today.
From my perspective, A is valid but hit SL. Can B reenter and valid? Is the swing in C valid?
3 hours EU open means 07-10 GMT correct?
Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you.

Opposite: Red turning to Green, and vise-versa, like magic.

Cheers

Hello Ty. Thank you for your great thread.
Yes I already have read from page 1 to 47.
If i'm not wrong, there's no one asked about case B before (after case A hit SL and B is already change hour).
In case C, I just not too sure the swing is >10.
And I'm bit confuse to convert EU open market time into GMT.
I apologize if I'm not a fast learner.. But I really willing to learn

ok... B technically is valid since it is in the new hour... but as you see price is stuck and only about a few minutes later your getting in at the same spot again.. so you rather pass on this type of situations, you don't want to give a way money twice over the same deal.

C.. the swing is over 10 I think so it's valid.. just in case if you have missed.. the measurement of the swing qualify goes like this: the crossover point of 5ema and 40ema to the height of the swing high or low.

It's all good brother no need for apologies and I appreciate your diligence on reading the thread.
Good luck.

I lost both trades which I took yesterday, and called it a day. Once I lose two trades in a day, I will not trade anymore for that day.

Allows me to practice discipline, patience and also ensure the survivability of my account

Hope to make back some profits today.

I understand your reasoning but the logic doesn't make sense to me. You may lose two trades which have a 10 pip stop or lose 4 trades with 5 pip stops you have still lost the same amount but you have made twice as many trades with a better risk reward and maybe with better set ups.

So instead of saying to yourself you will only trade until you lose twice why not set a 20 pip limit instead, this may also discipline you into finding lower risk setups.

Regards Schoe.
