Well if you mean that in regards to SNB, there are tons of brokers with 500 or even 2000 leverage who got relatively small loses. Actually the brokers that suffered loses or went under are anomaly if you look how many did not or/and had small loses. Its all about bussines, if it keeps them long term why not. The leverage is not problem, the problem is incompetence or unexperiance of staff and by that i dont mean just brokers, also banks and all who were taking CHF loans and speculations, not knowing the risk. My broker had 500 leverage, and what they did along few other brokers is using their strategists to come down to conclusion for breaking CHF pairs leverage for 5-10 times, few weeks before SNB decision. Now with that if storm comes you can lick your wounds. Its all about how good staff is at brokers, knowing or expecting situations ahead to preapare and adapt to market.

It's the same ol' bullsh-t.......the incompetent asking to be saved by the competent ones. This has been an unprecedented move in today's world. You can apply this theory to all levels.....finance/banking, immigration, education, political, etc. No more accountability, no more responsibility for one's own actions. When will this ever stop???!!
Lost....

Riding Light
von Alphonse Swinehart Plus vor 6 Tage Alle Zuschauergruppen
In our terrestrial view of things, the speed of light seems incredibly fast. But as soon as you view it against the vast distances of the universe, it's unfortunately very slow. This animation illustrates, in realtime, the journey of a photon of light emitted from the sun and traveling across a portion of the solar system.
I've taken liberties with certain things like the alignment of planets and asteroids, but overall I've kept the size and distances of all the objects as accurate as possible. I also decided to end the animation just past Jupiter as I wanted to keep the running length below an hour.

Hi Infinitus,
I would like to ask question about your atr calculations. Whats is the advantage of calculating levels over roll over price against over new period opening price? Is it makes too much difference if there is no gap? Thanks in advance

Hi Rocker,

most of the time the result is more or less the same. I was advised to calculate the ATR with the roll over price because it would be much better or precise for further analysis. The reason for this is, that at roll over all contracts are rolled over to the next days contract. That may have implications on how banks etc. treat price and close of the day price.

Hope it helps.....

Best to you
