Dave_c LarryDarrell Please sent me screenshot of ur chart , Mine is not trading at all although it is in V P S Maybe because of suffix ???

If you enable EMA Cross and RSI the trade will only happen if both the conditions are fulfilled ie. within the x number of bars ago (can be different for each indicator), there has been an EMA cross going down and a RSI cross going down. I suspect your "bars ago" setting has been left at the default value of 1 because in the second diagram the EMA cross occurred 4 bars ago and the RSI cross occurred 1 bar ago therefore the condition would not have been satisfied. In the top diagram it is a little harder to tell, but I think the red RSI line may be right on 50 and not below it. Also the red vertical line should be 1 candle to the right because of the default setting of 1 bar(s) ago the cross had not happened until the close of the bar. Another problem, I see is that your candlesticks seem to be HA. My calculations are done on conventional candlesticks with the EMA Cross. (HA only for Price/EMA cross)

Once again, I do not understand the context of your message. What is the relevance of LarryDarrell and what screenshot of what chart are you referring to? What do you mean by suffix?

You have an ATR filter already. Post trade actions, I will have a think but it is probably unlikely.

Hello Dave C, interesting EA and thanks for creating and sharing this. If I wanted to use the EA for the following - I set say a buy stop at a price (say UJ at 116), once price hits 116 and the trade is initiated, I want the EA to immediately set a sell stop at 115. Is this possible with this EA, and if so what combinations/settings should I use? Many thanks

For anybody having a problem taking screen shots.

Under Start, Programs, Accessories there is a program called Snipping Tool. You can use this to snip part of your screen and save as type .jpg
Alternatively use a third party program such as Greenshot (free) for capturing an area of the screen.

Just attach that file to your post and it will appear as part of the body of your text.

I suggest you read the help file carefully. The Straddle trade is initiated if either StopBuy or StopSell is hit and the other stop is then cancelled. The closure of the active trade is initiated by the nominated StopLoss/TakeProfit margin in the active trade. You would have to initiate another Straddle trade on a different chart (different Magic Number) to achieve the second Straddle trade that you are suggesting.

Great job on the EA! I am having one problem. Using "Continuous Straddle" option. Setting the value in the "Straddle Buffer" to 5, or 10, or any number, but still opens stop orders at +(-) 15. (Always +/- 15 from current price. Any thoughts?

I'm in the process of revamping the CandleStick signals because I would like to explore buy and sell signals by just using the filters.

eg. Buy if CandleStick gives a bullish signal within the last x bars and there is divergence with the last x bars and a price is close to a fib point. (you can set a fib point as a price point for a straddle trade)

So my idea for candlesticks is to process 4 candlesticks(possibly more) and to have the following variables starting with candlestick 1 being the last completed bar.

CandleStick1OverallLength
CandleStick1BodyLength
CandleStick1LowerWickLength
CandleStick1UpperWickLength
CandleStick1OpenValue
CandleStick1HighValue
CandleStick1LowValue
CandleStick1CloseValue ......... up to Candlestick4 +

So the pseudo code for bullish doji might be

If CandleStick2BodyLength < .00002 and CandleStick1BodyLength > .0002 and CandleStick3BodyLength > .0002 and CandleStick3LowValue > CandleStick2LowValue and CandleStick1LowValue > CandleStick2LowValue - GIVE A BUY SIGNAL

If you can give me some ideas that would help

Rather than rewrite the variables just copy and paste from above.

Hi Dave thank you for the EA,
I am just testing it for time of day straddle and was wondering if I had my settings right it has placed the stop orders correctly but hasn't set a stoploss which I had set at 20. does it do this when one of the orders is activated or is it using a hidden stopLoss my worry is if I lose my internet connection I have an order open without a stop loss in place.

As soon as the order is activated the stop Loss (and take profit if any) are placed.

I also see that your input help text is a little out of context. You will need to do a reset (bottom right) to bring them back into context.

Thanks for reply order just placed and other pending cancelled and stop loss set excellent..

could you help with one other setting wasn't sure on the combination to use

I have got it to place the order at a set time with a stop loss of 25

I then want it to move to BE if it goes 15 pips into profit and then trail 20 behind if it continues in my direction

@ the moment its in profit and the trailing stop is already in action is there away to prevent it from trailing untill the stop has been moved to BE which is set to happen at 15 pip profit

I have updated the EA to include Stochastic indicator and have made 3 fixes.

1. Fix for Continuous Straddle Buffer
2. Fix for ADX sell criteria
3. Fix for Breakeven on Stop Loss

Still can't see whether RSIMaxBarsAgo is correctly set and I need to see the chart as well as the inputs (including the RSIMaxBarsAgo). Might be best for you to email me since your problem is personal.

Terminator12, I have no idea what you are trying to do. You can't just post 2 charts with no comment. Please do some home work on how to reply to a thread because this is the third time your inputs have made no sense.
