Hi Dave,
Congratulations on starting your own thread. You have an enormous amount to offer the FF community. I can only guess at how much work you have selflessly put into this EA. Making it available to all with no covert marketing sub plot. Great example to a lot of other recent thread starters. You are not only gifting us all the opportunity of a powerful trading tool but also demonstrating how to function properly as a Human Being.

A few ideas for discussion

The candlestick pattern recognition could be improved. More candlestick patterns could be recognised. Your input will help.
Another option rather than on screen alerts - adding buy and sell arrows to the charts.
Other indicators, alerts - please gave me your ideas. One that has been suggested - Williams Percent Range
A particular strategy could be confirmed by filters on other timeframes

The logic is -
For a trade to be placed - All enabled strategies have to give the same direction signal. With the filters - that same direction signal will be fulfilled if the indicator does not give an opposite direction signal. eg. a sell candlestick pattern within the number of lookback bars.

Hello Dave,

firs of all, thank you for share this useful tool, suppose it take much of your work time.

my idea for EA strategy is: to set 2 pending order with delta eg. above and below current price e.g. +25pips and -25pips (R/R 1:1 and expirion date) at news time (EA should separate it according to chart pair.

is it already possible to set it in your EA?

can you add martingale based on MACD should the 1st entry miss TP?

Hi Dave,
Thanks the second version is now opening traded on the correct timeframe!

There is one more thing I would love to see in the EA which I have been looking for..

I want to be able to use the EMA Price cross & then put a buy stop/sell stop 5 pips above/below the high/low of the candle that closed over the 200 EMA.
That tends to filter out alot of the tests of the EMA that may bounce back..

Please let me know if thats possible in your next version?

That's a great suggestion and it personifies what I was looking for in this thread. Give me a couple of days and I will see if I can implement your idea.

Hi Dave,

You may also want to consider as an exit signal the TDI over/under 50 level. The timeframe may be M5 or any other depeding on each user preferences of trading.
I find it more accurate than other signals and I think is also better than simple trailing. Please check it.

I am only too happy to respond to requests relating to the subject of my EA but please do not PM me unless it relates to improving the EA I provided. I am not your coders punching bag! Sorry to the genuine contributors but most of the unreasonable requests relate to users rather than contributors! I will help conditionally but don't use me if you are not willing to contribute. Where did you learn to programm MT4 ?
I looked on the net, but so far I only found tutorials that would be helpfull if you already know how to code... more reference guides so to speak. Or... when does start at point zero it stops or directs you to a paid site at the moment it gets interesting.

I have made a couple of changes to the EA as a result of requests.

Added 1 new input and expanded the straddle trade types.

TradeClosureType - 0 is for allowing the trade to close when the StopLoss is reached, 1 is for the trade to close when an opposite direction signal is given and 2 is to close the trade when the Traders Dynamic Index falls to below 50 for a buy trade and vice versa for a sell trade.

News, Time of Day, Price or EMA Cross Straddle - This strategy stands alone and is not used with any other Strategy or Filter. You nominate the Straddle Type. For the time of day type=0, (about 1 minute before News) nominate the hour and minute that the that the trades are to take place. The Price type=1 is used for significant price levels, eg. Daily pivot S/R levels, Fib levels, S/R channels. The EMA cross type=2 is for the break of a long term EMA. At the nominated time (time based trade) or a break in either direction (price and EMA cross types), 2 pending trades are placed, a STOPBUY and a STOPSELL at a nominated price difference from the price at the nominated time (determined by StraddleBuffer). Once either trade is activated, the other trade is automatically cancelled and the fulfilled trade is managed according to the Money Management rules.

The PDF help file and the EX4 and MQ4 at post #1 have been amended

Thank you Dave, I just want to express my appreciation on how promptly you came back with the solution. Also I would like to applaud your initiative overall.

Just one question if I may, because allthough your code is open source I am not a coder to understand it myself.
Frankly after studying a lot, as many here did, I am now to the point of finding good Entries.My only issue is the lack of time due to job, so I cannot spend time looking at the charts and waiting for an Exit.So I would use your EA by dropping it on a chart on which there is a trade already open by myself manually, for the EA to close the trade based on TDI cross.
The question is this: as it is now, if dropping the EA on a chart, will it close a trade which is currently running and was open manually(off course considering I set the condition in the Inputs to use TDI 50 rule)? Or it only deals with trades open by the EA automatically?

Great EA .I salute You.Hats Off .I respect Your Time And Effort and selfless...God Bless You.your EA is excellent and lots of feature..I have request is it possible to add another Feature like double/Triple RSI Cross say.. 55,21,8 period cross from bellow and cross 50 level buy open and opposite cross from above and cross 50 level and sell open.i hope i am not spoiling your thread if i please delete or ...thanks in advance
